...Any tips on how to control myself/not get ejected or beaten up would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Any fans had similar experiences managed to get through the whole game without appearing to be an away fan?

unlucky, i'll be with the yid army providing the soundtrack to the match.

i sat in fulham stand at cottage in the QF's this season. there were quite a few doing it. i wasn't really in your face but i wasn't exactly subtle either. every shot from a spurs player got scattered encouragement among the fulham stand! jsut don't take the piss and don't where colours. they're gonna be in a good mood anyway cause they'll do us as usual :(

Did this when we drew 1-1 with them a few years back. jenas scored a free kick for 30 yards and me and my Dad both stoood up in unison to celebrate but both twigged at the same moment and did a u-turn shouting "fucks sake you useles bunch of fuckers" while secretly the passion was because we had scored.

Guy sat next to me got on the phone after 70 mins to someone arranging to "meet" some spurs fans after the game for a "friendly reunion"....no trouble though for me.

I was in the leicester end in 99 at wembley, there were quite a few spurs fans dotted about, 2 guys sat next to me and my dad nodded cause they knew we spurs too,..it was quite hostile actually I remember a spurs fan maybe 20 rows infront got so fed up of the abuse he stood up and started swinging, ending up hitting a women though. Not cool.

I know what you're going through. I'll be stuck in the middle of a Man United crowd too. I'm watching the game in a pub in London.

I've sat through a couple of games at Stamford Bridge in with their mob and to be honest not being able to support properly is quite possibly the most stressful experience you will ever have.

You will hate the ref, all the United players, probably some of the Spurs players and definitely the irritating Manc next to you and yet you won't be able to express any of it (unless you are particularly handy...in which case have fun).

I was in the Pompey end for the semi a few weeks ago. Pretty docile mob they are, plus I had been well sedated with alcohol.

i've been sat in the united end a couple times, once when we lost 2-1 in the cup and a few seasons back when we were 2-0 up in the league and ended up losing 5-2. i cheered every spurs goal and to be honest, the banter was really good natured. had quite a laugh. think it was because, even thought we went ahea in bith games they knew they would have the last laugh. i think it might be different this saturday though. they won't be so confident

My first experience of sitting with away fans will be at Eastlands. I'm not sure if I'll be able to control myself at the final whistle if we've won and got 4th sewn up.

Good luck to you anyway. Don't wear our colours and try not to do more than a gentle fist-pump or something if we score.

did it most of my childhood (Old Man OT season-ticket holder)...celebrate DOWN not UP...thats my advice.....not that i ever had much to celebrate other than the Lineker game (last time we won in League), game when Vinny Samways scored winner past Jim Leighton, and the Jenas free-kick when we got a draw a few years back. COuld have gone this time (with Old Man) but my nerves wouldnt last....

Funny you should say that apparently there was trouble at eastlands last week with City fans throwing bricks at the Utd fans as they were getting on their coaches!! IN MANCHESTER!! where the fuck were they going?

Docile?? You obviously didn't meet the lot I did. Had a half full can of beer and a hamburger thrown at me. Both missed. Bloody hooligans

Yes, but when you wear a Southampton shirt and hang signs around your neck saying 'all things Naval are pants', what do you expect?

Been in with the United fans a few times at OT and we've been spanked everytime I seem to remember.

Saw a very young Ledley King play in midfield up there a few years back and a United fan who I was speaking to after the game in the pub said he was going to be quality and he would like them to buy him.

I'm a northerner and a lot of my mates are United fans, they aren't as confident this time round, needless to say I've not been talking our chances up. We do however, have more reason than usual to go into this game feeling we can get something from it.

Depends what stand you are in at Old Trafford, Stretford End and North Stand are vocal with a few scallies and everywhere esle is full of familes, foreigners and people who aren't likely to want to fight.

finch101, on behalf of us ex-pats who would just love to see Spurs live, live the dream mate, enjoy the game especially when we start banging in the goals. Celebrate afterwards with the travelling Spurs fans in one of the local boozers.

Surely that can only be in South/West/East/Small minority (less supported side) of North London?

I know what you mean though, I was out last weekend with my brother-in-law-to-be and his brother (keep up), in Kent, 2 nice blokes from Maidstone.....who support blinkin' Liverpool. I ask ya!
