Kinda agree with the sentiment on here, not the most exciting signing. Think he'd do a good job for the team though, I could see him being a beast in the press, the dudes a machine.

This only makes sense if we're planning to sell one of Lamela or Townsend in the near future, which I doubt.

Nonsense, I highly doubt that Aston Villa offered €12m for any player and highly doubt that we wanted this guy to begin with. Same as with Emenike, all bullshit.

I watch Turkish football now and again. And he doesn't offer anything else then what we already have. Turkish league is very poor and of course he would stand out over there but here is a different galaxy lol

Agreed. I wonder if this may have something to do with them signing Tolgay Arslan from Hamburg for pittance, as it's possible their fans are accusing them of a lack of ambition given that they're in a close title race atm, and the president came up with this crock of shit as a display of that ambition.

Their president is just trying to get the fans onside by saying "See, we fought off a big English team trying to take our players!" And Spurs are the team that always gets used because we're big enough to be impressive but not so big that it's ridiculous we might want their players. No truth in it at all IMO.

I've been really impressed this season with Besiktas, watched them 5-10 times. This guy and Kerim Frei are honestly the only two that don't stand out for me. Kerim Frei because he was highly rated in his youth and looked great at Fulham, now looks shit. Tore because he has some reputation but looks even more shit.
Would be very disappointed if we went after him and not someone like Kono.
