Quite a good video. Some good questions for once and some informative answers. Well worth a watch

His great attitude and enthusiasm really shines through here. I really hope he breaks through this year, could be a great player for us.

Really nice video! He speaks about his favourite position playing deep and I also see him fully capable of playing in the middle 3 with Sandro/Dembele/Paulinho.

Lol at his Father who wanted his son to lose against his favourite club, Everton - same with his West Ham fan Uncle, at least his Cousin was a spurs fan :)

Love the attitude of Holtby and really hope he will have a good season!

Love him, really want him to succeed for us... Hope we just keep Dembele, Sandro, Paulinho, Carroll and Holtby as our midfield; don't want McCarthy or any other midfielders.

Top bloke, I'm confident that he will make one of the midfield spots his own this season, maybe at the expense of Dembele although whoever isn't first choice will still get loads of minutes. I rate Dembele and really like him but Holtby has the ability to both see the early pass forward and to execute it perfectly which will make for faster and more fluid counter attacks. That seemed to be one of his main weapons for Schalke although obviously Dembele's skill set is still going to suit certain games better.

P.S- I bet that guy who is sitting with Lewis (and does the other player interviews) is one of our ITKs :D

Agree with this, really like Dembele due to his ability to glide past players but he is limited. I'm hoping this limitation is just because he has been required to sit back; I think with a free role he could really excel.

I really think Holtby will come into his own this season. He was a large part of Schalke's success. People continuously bring up the need to bring in a creative player, but they fail to remember Holtby. I have no doubt he will be a success for us. He could be a big spark to our play in a 4-3-3. His passion and love for the game, alone, are going to help him become such.

He makes it pretty clear with his first response that he hasn't quite fitted in with the team and squad as well as he might have liked, he also hints that he hasn't really played in his best position yet. This is something I and many posters on here have alluded to when discussing Holtby, particularly with reference to his fantastic performances for Schalke and the German U21s. He's a phenomenal talent no doubt, and we haven't even come close to seeing the best of Holtby yet IMO.

I remember his debut thinking, wow we have got a player here and in his cameo against WBA away from home. And then I felt he was " trying to hard" jumping into tackles, not playing the simple ball after that. But theres something about him and will be vital this coming season.

I do believe and some of you may disagree but I think if he had played deep DM instead of parker from january onwards then we will of been better off.

Very nice video, and i hope to see more of this stuff :) But one thing I dont agree with is holtbys role. I see lewis as a linkup player a young version of Rafa that can find those key passes and run spaces open for players. Hope that Lewis really get the chance to start. the lad have that winning mentality, and even a Captain mentality that is important. COYS !
