Speaking on Simon & Souness, Graeme Souness suggested that he is a big fan of Postecoglou considering that he was not optimistic about his chances of being a success in North London.

“I thought he’d struggle, because you’ve taken Harry’s goals out the equation, so you’re thinking where are the goals going to come from? I think he’s done really, really well at Spurs. The first thing he got on side was the media, they seem to like him. He’s got a lovely way with him. I’ve only met him the once when he was in Scotland, in an Italian restaurant, absolutely charming,” he said.

“He told me a story, he was a ballboy. Scotland, we had to go play Australia in a World Cup qualifier in 86. And he said he was a ballboy at the ground at Melbourne where we played. And he was charming. He comes across as an honest guy.”

In other words, Souness now thinks Ange could do a job at Liverpool. He can fuck right off!

More important than any signings this window, we need to end the window with Ange feeling he is being backed. The feeling he will be allowed to build the team he wants without unnecessary restrictions.

He may feel that already with the two signings we've made, who knows. But spurs need to keep him feeling there's an upward trajectory.
