Graeme Souness has told talkSPORT that Dejan Kulusevski is one to watch and claimed that the Tottenham Hotspur star is almost Kevin De Bruyne-esque.

Kulusevski has picked up where he left off last season. The Sweden international scored five goals and contributed eight assists in just 18 Premier League games following his move from Juventus in January.

I’ve always described him as a winger version of de bruyne to people who don’t watch us. If pep ever gets his hands on him it’ll be a scary sight.

I think the winger thing is still up to debate, Kulusevski see’s himself as a number 10. He is really special though, has a good blend of passing range and crossing and the ability to beat players, he seems driven to improve too

Or he's been saying it as he sees it all along, and as fans we just didn't like what he was saying?

Yeah, sometimes the truth hurts.

Besides, Souness has often said that despite being obviously all Liverpool, that he has a soft spot for Spurs as we were his first English club.

Well De Bruyne used to play as a winger/wide forward for Wolfsburg back in the day, no? Swear half his highlights for them were him blasting down the wing and putting in crosses to Dzeko and the like.

Hopefully Kulu can have a similar career trajectory.

I think Souness has been a great addition to Talksport- great knowledge of the game and talks clearly and precisely, instead of the usual mundane cliches we get treated to.
Always very complimentary about us, saying it was his first club that put his career in motion and quite rightly calls us the big (but underachieving) club that we truly are.
