According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Star, West Ham United's Rob Green has turned down a contract extension offer.
Apparently, the Hammers have been negotiating a new deal with the goalkeeper over the last few months, but have failed to offer him the terms he desires.
It is thought that the goalkeeper is one of the east London based outfit's lowest earners in the first-team squad as he is still tied to the deal he was handed when he signed from Norwich City in 2006.
The Irons, it is claimed, have offered him around £35,000-a-week, but the 29-year-old is holding out for closer to £50,000-a-week which would rank him alongside Lucas Neill and Scott Parker as one of the club's top earners.
The news may be of interest to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur who, it is said, have been keeping tabs on him over the past season or so.
However, Green still has two years left to run on his current contract, and it is thought that he would prefer to commit himself to West Ham provided they give in to his demands.
