Looks like he is getting some confidence now. He made a few mistakes on final balls, but his defensive work was fantastic. Never gave up and kept pressuring his man. Very good performance.

It was a great ball to bale and he looks for the run also.

Should have scored though

I thought he played well too, but im not sure if his defensive display was that great. i thought he was dragged into the middle too often and allowed jenkinson the whole flank to himself. But his tracking back and his work rate were good.

Very pleased with him today. He's a very odd player though, when he runs with the ball he always looks like he's about to lose control of it or get tackled, yet he rarely does.

He really pissed me off when he tried passing the ball in that 1 on 1 though.

Actually I think I saw AVB say that to him to get more central. When Arsenal changed Jenkinson for Rosicky they showed that they were going to play most of their game through the middle of the pitch and by moving Sig into a more central position it compacted the midfield and nullified their threat!

He has done better the last couple of games. It was a good pass, well spotted and executed. He seems to me like someone who when given time and space can do something with it but isn't so good in tight areas or when he is under pressure.

He did ok defensively, was disciplined but then seemed to flag around the hour mark and lost his man a couple of times and AVB responded by putting Bale out there instead.

It was also a very bad miss in all truth.

He does have something to build on though.

Great assist. Should've have taken the shot when he came alone against Big Mouth. Tried a few through balls and was great defensively. Had a few nice shots as well.

His work rate was immense and he only switched off once during the 90. I hope he can make it because he looks an intelligent player and we're lacking that in the final third. I think early in the season he was trying too hard to impress. Hopefully he'll come into his own now that he's more settled in.

I agree it nullified their midfield threat, but if Arsenal had a better right back than Jenkinson/Ramsay, then one of those forays into our final third would have been a goal. However if you say those were his instructions then i cant fault him for that.

He will prove his worth.
I think him and Holtby are possibly a bit anxious to show their value but hopefully they'll relax.
I think GS is more than just a squad player he'll get his chance on the run in.

Dumbfounded when he passed that chance to Bale! He'd got his first goal v Wham, set up Bale for our first goal, was playing well, the team was winning at home...the likelihood was that a keeper save would have palmed it to Bale!

And I'd bleedin' bet on him to score!

Very happy with this performance, great ball retention, should have scored but we won so I'll forgive him for that ;)

Was very impressed with Sigs today and thought he put in a real shift. There was one moment in injury time when Sigs chased down a cleared ball and you could see the determination on his face to get to the ball before the Arse player, it was great to see, especially from a player who has'nt played for 90 minutes all that often this season.
