Absolute legend. The best forward this country has produced since World War 2. I have had the pleasure of being in his company several times and he was a modest and humorous man. Also, regardless of what you hear he has not got a problem with Spurs. Many happy returns of the day JG.

Think he lives round here. I've got his autograph and a kappa shirt framed in my room. Dads hero.

Forget CR7

Never forget JPG8

As a boy he was the man I wanted to be, to emulate, to bang those goals in so nonchalantly.

Happy Birthday Jimmy

If Levy is the huge Spurs fan that supposedly he is he should move heaven and earth to get Jimmy back at the Lane in some type of role

Have so many happy memories of his goals, but the abiding memory is waiting at the turnstiles to enter the 1966 WC final, and then the news breaking over peoples transistor radios that he wasn't selected. I was 15 and gutted. I got over it. But did he?

A truly great character given a special skill and instinct to score goals, goals and more goals. I read somwhere, maybe he said it himself, that he had a chance on leaving Spurs to join Cloughie (at Derby?), and that if he had of done his career might have extended.

Jimmy and Cloughie?? It would probably have shortened Cloughies career even more?
I can imagine those two as perfect drinking partners... My missus met Jimmy about 20 years ago and he said that at one time he drank everything but now he eats everything!!

So as I understand, he has fallen out with the club because they wouldn't pay him for meet and greets (hospitality box). His argument is that the club charge the fans to meet him but don't pay him??

Is this right or am I miles out?
