Interesting.....I'm not particularly knowledgeable about Real, but isn't Higuain out injured? Wouldn't letting Benzema go, leave them very short?

Maybe they landed a replacement? Llorente or Dzeko

Its more likely to be Lassana Diarra than Benzema imo. As dvdhopeful says with higuain out injured Benzema has been in the side. They'd be left short without him.

I think the type of player is important. I hope it is a striker because that will send the right message.

If it is a midfielder, it may upset a few characters like Kranj, Sandro, JJ, Palacios etc.

Bojan would be a dream. Were it not for Pedro he'd be a starter at Barca. One of the best young 9's going. Of course I'd love Benzema too.

This is great news and totally realistic.

Jose is essentially an ego maniac. Whatever he does he wants it to be glorious for the club, so he basically leaves his previous club damaged.

Take His three previous roles. Porto - basically cheated their way via diving to the champions League. Won it, moved clubs and then purchased their strongest players.

Chelsea- Made them an efficient- well drilled machine, removed the wingers- SWP and Robben and purchased old players with the correct mentality. Won the league- left the club with old players with a limited time at the top.

Inter - see chelsea- only the players were older and the club had fuck all cash to replace them (stitched up Rafa).

He is now finishing the job on Chelsea, who afterall are the only club he has left who have cash to replace players. By helping us to make Chelsea fail, his time at teh club will be viewed even better.

The man is a genius, making himself a Legend in the game. It's pretty well known that he respects Spurs, not least of all due to the fact that the atmosphere vs Chelsea is always pretty special (and the Chelsea fans are pretty quite due to their prices).

Come on Jose, do us a favour!

Yes our obsession for rbs has transferred to the middle. Hopefully there's a slight shift to the left as there's no genuine cover for BAE

I can't see why a loan deal for Benzema makes any sense from a Real Madrid perspective so I'd still be amazed if this was what transpires.

They do want Llorente and Tevez.
With Tevez wanting out, and Dzeko headed for City .... who knows

Thing is we are now in a situation where we are not looking to improve the squad, we are trying to improve the first team, so pretty much anyone coming in now is going to be taking someone's spot. I'd rather we bring in world class (I'm not saying Diarra) and upset some people than pass up good opportunities.

VDV coming would have put out a number of noses, but it was one of the best deals I can ever remember.

How much of a difference would Diarra and Benzema make to our team? Would it make us genuine title contenders? I have seen both play, but don't know a great deal about current form, anyone who has seen them recently?
