I truly think that since Levy rejected City's offer that this was never in doubt. At nearly twenty nine and currently under contract i don't see where we could now cash in big style on a transfer fee.

I also think deep down Harry feels that beating Jimmy's record would cement his name in history at the club, a record that once set is likely to remain unbeaten.

Yeah, if/when he does beat Greaves' record, he'll be immortalized in Tottenham's history. Anyone (to a point) can win a trophy or two, in fact, players do it 4 times a year every single year. But being a true legend at your beloved football club and to go into the history books is – IMO – a far greater achievement than a trophy.

I love how he was "nearly 28" this time last year, when the media was reporting we needed to accept losing him for a cut price, cos his value will drop...then he was "nearly 29" at the end of the window....and still "nearly 29" now.

shocking if he ends up retiring without a winners medal though, if i was him i'd only sign a one year extension and then look to bounce in my very early 30s to Munich, or a top Italian team and try and clean up while i can
