Tottenham Hotspur attacker Harry Kane will be out to set a new Premier League record when the Lilywhites welcome Burnley to North London for Sunday's top-flight battle.

The 28-year-old has now amassed a total of 181 strikes in the competition, with 70 of those strikes coming on Saturdays and 69 on Sundays.

A slice of English football history is therefore on the line for Kane this weekend, as he could become the first player ever to score 70 Premier League goals on two different days of the week.

Nobody's mentioned Kane smashing the record of most goals (including a penalty) between the 21st and 38th minute at home in a capacity stadium, within the record most recent year in the Gregorian calendar, with a manager that joined in the same season featuring South Korean and Swedish strike partners in a game that saw not one rain-drop.... Why am I the only one outraged about this?!

because he wasn’t wearing a hat at the time. I mean if he wants to impress me, he needs to be in an Urban Sombrero or the record ain’t worth shit.

But how many has he scored on a full moon when Mercury is in retrograde and there’s a southerly wind?

Not too fussed about the record personally. But here's hoping Harry is, and he gets the record.

Means we'd have at least scored one. :D

The only thing this proves is he’s tee-total. Equally good on Saturdays AND Sundays! Can’t say I am.
