I think if the manager is who I think it is, and Levy gives him the backing I've heard he will, Harry could well be happy to see where it goes for another year at least.

With this and Herc's stuff, plus JJ's comments about our guy being first choice all along I now have (probably unrealistically) high expectations for whoever is coming in, but I really really can't think who would be a pleasant surprise. How many top managers even are there as I'm running out of ideas.

With likely no European Football it would need to be some coach to attract the players to come to take advantage of any backing or convince Kane to say. Hope your right with who you think it is Trix

He's gone. Lets just get this done quickly and move on. History tells us that this will roll on all summer and then he goes before we've had time to sign and bed in replacements.

Get this done before the Euros and then we go again.

I genuinely have no idea who this manager could be that would change Harry’s mind about leaving. There’s a list of about 4 or 5 managers in world football who could do that and none of them are coming here.

It's a double whammy for me since 10 minutes ago the greatest FM regen I've ever had has requested a transfer. Another academy boy who unlike Kane has never played elsewhere before. Current three time in a row World Player of the Year.

Kane is still with my Spurs team at the age of 37 and has scored 507 goals for the club.

Reports said Kane wanted to have it all sorted before the Euros, so he has to do a compressed transfer saga with drips of this stuff every day .

Probably refusing to train for the rest of the week before biting Jamie Vardy on sunday. What else is there? Feels we've moved past myserious posts in social media.

Up to levy

If he can't justify spending big now to keep Kane and put the club back up where it was a couple of years ago then his statement about what "is best for the club" is even more shallow than it originally sounded

I dont blame Kane for considering a move, but I do feel the timing is disgusting and it's disrespectful to fans and the club that have helped him to where he is now. This interview in a months time, fine, but to do it even before the season ends is tough to accept.

That said, the media are desperate for this move, and they are trying to create division between fans, Kane and the board. The one thing fans should not do is fall for that and make it easier for Kane to leave.

Our season has withered to nothing though so is the timing that big a deal

Exactly this, no Europe at all & we likely won’t spend big money required to get top quality defenders.

Welcome to Tottenham, Sir Alex Ferguson.

this doesn't come out this week (whilst we're still playing) unless he wants it to. he's actively going on a "poor me" tour to market himself to our rivals as if we're the reason he's not won anything. he's being a bellend.

It’s not ideal, but with the Euros coming up I’m guessing he’s been strongly advised to get the ball rolling now otherwise his move won’t happen this summer.

Haha yeah, me too. I don't really know who I'm hoping for, but I've got so high expectations now that I fear I'll end up underwhelmed almost no matter who it is.

There is this manager that will be free at end of season, that lead his striker to historical record , footballer of the year and winning everything on a way.

It’s going to take some backing & persuading, seeing as it didn’t work out with Jose Mourinho, who was brought in as a serial winner.

Difference now is the new coach will want to be backed and Levy will have to. ......JM couldn't demand that.......

By all accounts Mourinho got the job on the back of convincing Levy he could get a tune out of Poch's underachieving squad, so hence he couldn't go banging on Levys door for a huge rebuild.

Once Mourinho realised the squad was done when he started working with them, and he wasn't getting to rebuild, we saw the real **** Mourinho resurface throwing his squad under the bus....
