Did I imagine Leicester winning the league?
Fair enough!
But, can you imagine that happening again?
Did I imagine Leicester winning the league?
Berbatov, Bale, Modric didn't sink to these levels. The way he has behaved is a disgrace
Build a massive new state of the art stadium, which for years has been spoken about as game changing for us, then sell Kane. I know it’s not all on the club and circumstances in the world have been difficult. But even so it sends out a terrible message.I think the new bit is "the feeling in our camp is they will pay it"
On one hand, I'd love him to stay and help us get top 4, then if he still wants out we can sell and offer CL to potential signings.
On the other, he's never going to be worth more than he is right now, he could stay and have a shit year (would be unlikely) or get injured again (less unlikely) and then we're selling for a lot less with 24 months left on his deal. The money could really strengthen us in weak areas, giving Nuno a more well-rounded starting 11, but could it make up for the Kane shaped hole?
Either way it looks incredibly slim that he'll be a one club man and break all the records with us
and since that's not happening, I'm fine with whatever outcome eventuates.
You could well be right - Paratici's signings might not come off and we might find it impossible to replace Kane's goals. The sad thing there is no good scenario for us with him leaving, people saying we get the money reinvest and get better, I think they are going to be in for a rude awakening, it sounds promising with the new director of football, but he hasn’t proven anything yet, neither have any of the likely new signings. Playing in the premier league is a totally different kettle of fish. We have a long history of pissing money away on shit. Kane’s goals are going to be hard to replace, I think the likelihood of champions league football is non existent in the coming years without him, his goals give us our best shot, so keeping him and the potential money it would bring means I would hold him to his contract.
Agreed. I strongly think we should be going out and getting Danny Ings in. With a year left on his contract could Southampton turn down £30m? He's the best striker available with premier League experience and likely to join.
Wow. I have seen some aggressive, caustic responses on SC over the years, but this is beyond the pale. It’s mean and patronizing. You have interpreted their comment as passive aggressive and assumed their intent was to use conciliatory language to obfuscate their true intent, which was to take you to task. I don’t really understand this level of anger and unkindness. I find it wholly abusive and completely unnecessary. I have no idea why you would choose to speak to someone like that, who went out of their way to be politely critical, without punching under the belt.
That said, intent can be misinterpreted online. Maybe you didn’t mean this to sound the way it did to me, at least. Or, maybe you did. Lord knows I’ve been the ire of one of your oratory lashings. Hence why I have you in the ignore list. But felt a need to say something when I saw this. Just doesn’t feel like it is in the spirit of being at least a slightly respectful community of fellow Spurs supporters.
Right… back to Harry Kane… hope he stays, but for the first time since the end of the season, I’m starting to come around to the idea that he is leaving and I’m very, very bummed. Just hope we take City to the cleaners.
I hate to say this, as Kane would be better suited and more effective for Chelsea over City.

I really don’t get all this Ings to replace Kane stuff…..he’s out injured far too much for me…I don’t doubt his ability just don’t think we’d get to see much of it.Yep. I think if Kane goes he is a must. He’d get 20 league goals in our team. Not as many as Kane but he’s a good striker. If we have a better defence we hopefully won’t need to score as many anyway.
