Have you ever been to the stadium? I’ve sat next to people calling a player Stupid Farkin C whilst sharing a snack with their wife and kids.

As I say

only an idiot would boo him

more maybe an idiot and their young kid

Disregarding the fact he’s disobeyed the hierarchy, wondering we didn’t give him an extra week off when he asked for it. Probably hasn’t played as much as the likes of Pedri but I can get why the England captain would need extended time off with his family.
3 weeks off straight is more than most employees will be allowed. Its not like when he comes back he needs to suddenly play 3 games a week. He'd be coming back to light, managed pre season work. He's a professional athlete paid well over £200k a week, taking an extra week that he's not been allowed to have is pure petulance, regardless of his status/eliteness.

I love Vega. He's fully COYS
I remember Vega kicking Vinnie Jones in the back of the calf with some venom, when the referee had turned away, as they walked back towards the halfway line after Jones had clattered someone in our penalty area. Took bollocks, top bloke to front that thug out.

For some reason, he's really taken us to heart. I don't really remember him making much waves when he was with us but because of his twitter account, he's now a cult legend.

he’s done more than many Spurs players and won a trophy with us.

He attends a lot of matches too and was good value having beers with fans at the end of season “rave” in the square at the park lane end at the end of the 2018/19 season

Was there a massive backlash from fans when Bale didn’t turn up to training? We welcomed him back with open arms...
Whats the difference here?
He didn't just not turn up for training though did he. We were actively negotiating with Madrid at the time.

Harry won’t sulk he’s got the World Cup next year. Do you think he’s going to jeopardise his chance by sulking? Not a chance in hell!

and no 2 is just dumb.

Number 2 is more than just dumb. It would allow HK to leave at the end of the season with the club only able to demand very modest compensation.

I am not defending Kane at all, but you cannot compare football clubs to other companies / employers, as international footballers cannot take a holiday for the other 48 weeks of the year and normal employees can.

Also, he is coming back to a day of tests and will then be beasted for 2 weeks straight to get his fitness levels up. It will be double sessions and will really be tough.

But surely Kane isn't the only one in this boat.

Other players have families, have played in the Euros and might want an extra week's rest.

But if the club wants you back on training then that's it. The player doesn't just get to decide they get an extra week's holiday.

I understand what you’re saying. I’m curious as to whether we would have granted him an extra week if he’d just signed a new contract.

That's why he gets about 10m a year. And he gets more than that off throughout the year. They're not working 9-5 during the week. A few hours training each day isn't exactly super hard work, not to mention the recovery days, his yearly injury month, the winter break, and longer in the summer on years when there's no major tournament. You make it sound as though he's working like a dog for 48 weeks.

Every other player at every club managed to get back when they were supposed to.

He’s also heaping the pressure on himself, whoever he is playing for when the season starts as he is going to be behind in his fitness and match preparation.

As others have said, there is a world of difference between two parties reaching an agreement and one person unilaterally having a plan of their own.The only people who has looked stupid in this is Harry and his agent, but “if the cap fits”. By not saying anything at least the club can say they’ve not thrown him under the bus.

I honestly think there is a chance it could be mental drainage. It’s so out of character for him otherwise. The fact he hasn’t won a proper trophy is probably seriously playing on his mind as he gets older and he just needed to get away for longer then what was originally planned. We don’t really know what’s going on in his head. Only those close to him.

I can't believe reading on here and twitter that some people are just sweeping this under the rug and accepting what Kane has done. I feel sorry for Nuno overall, Kane has caused so much crap and he hasn't even turned up yet.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that there comes a point where you just cant face it anymore in the job, role, company you are in. Youre worn out and need something different to get out of that headspace. Its not being apologetic because how he has gone about it is extremely poor and no going back as far as im concerned but also understand where it comes a point that you need soemthign different because youre worn out.
