The thing I like most about Harry Kane is that he improves every time I see him.

First few U20 (as it was then) highlights and friendly appearances, showed he could read a game, showed good off the ball movement, but struggled to show much else.

Then he showed he had a fantastic powerful shot on him, then in the Uefa Cup qualifier against Hearts when he won a penalty that he did have a bit of pace, although he hid it well.

He's looking quicker (not lightening but no slouch), stronger, and now a terrific leap in the air. If he could add another half yard of pace I think he could turn into a really, really good player.

I'm more than happy for him to be third choice striker next season, getting more and more games and giving him a chance to prove he deserves to move up the pecking order. Spurs of old would have bought a couple of crap strikers to replace Defoe and only be a gnat's pubic hair better than Kane, its great that Kane is getting a chance, regardless of whether he makes it or not.

That was the worst team I've seen at the Lane all season, so not getting too hyped up about that performance.

I've praised him many times this season, love his vision and movement, intelligent player and I think he can come good for us, but that was like playing against an amateur side. Any decent defender would have cleared the cross he scored on and got the ball on the one Adebayor ended up tapping in.

Oh we've played worse...a lot worse...

Kane had a really good game tonight, really pleased for him.

The same people who say "he is shite" probably should have committed suicide if we were linked with Naismith from Rangers, and now think we should sign him from Everton.

Kane is a decent player, but not gonna be good enough for where we wanna be imo. 4th striker maybe, but he won't be satisfied with that. He's quite a slow player tbf, but has got a brain on him, will give him that.

No. I seriously would bet on a combination of the worst players in Tromso, Sheriff, and Anzhi's reserves to beat Sunderland.

positive, confident and got all his shots on target. Sunderland are not setting the world alight but Kane didnt look out of place alongside more experienced pro's. Good lad

Never rated him, never will. I will probably upset a lot of people on here but he is not good enough to play at the highest level, fact
Still very young but looks like he is progressing well. Think next season will be an important one forhim

Ah a fact twat, my favourite kind of poster. You are entitled to your opinion about any player, just try not to be so far up your own arse that you assume your opinion to automatically become truth.

I thought he played well once he got into the game, still misses too many chances

He did indeed, but still looked miles better than any 20 year old forward has for us for a while! I have really high hopes for Harry. His build and quick feet he can go onto have a long and successful career since pace isn't ever going to be a factor.

He played ok against a team who are bottom of the league. If you can see him leading our frontline for the rest of the season or any season then god help us

I never said I wanted him leading the line this season. As for future seasons, who knows? To say he simply isn't good enough a few minutes after he played, scored (nearly twice) makes it look like you're someone who's determined for him to fail anyway.

Also, ending an opinion with "fact" doesn't hold much sway.

I think that will improve if he gets more games, as his sharpness and confidence will improve. He's still only 20 and there aren't many better 20-year-old strikers in the Premiership!
