I think they are pro's and it will be just fine. Kane won't kick off, he will get his head down and all will be forgotten. People said the same about Modric and it was fine. Nuno will welcome him back, reintegrate him and motivate him and build a relationship etc

He has now basically twice publically told his team mates they aren't fit to lace his boots, twice called the chairman a liar, now says that he is disappointed that Nuno didn't clear up the "miscommunication" before ever even speaking to the bloke. It's gone past "kicking off" already.

IIRC there were no stories like this with Modric. Only that he wanted to join Chelsea, we said no. He said fine and got on with it. Levy let him go to RM for his valuation the following summer.

I hope Dier smashes seven bells out of him tbh.

Thing is even if we keep him it is absolutely essential we sign another striker to replace Bale and Vinicius and to cover for Kane and Son. Who's that gonna be now Martinez and Vlahovic both look off?

he will be sold really late in the window, but no fucker available to buy! think most on here know how this is gonna roll. My take is levy got Pat in because he thought city would pay up sooner. And grab some bargains. Well you can laugh at city all you want but they will get him. And leave us short. Wankers. City and Levy.

You are so confident that he won't "kick off". I'm sure during the EUROs none of Spurs fans could even imagine he would kick off a month later because all of these "oh, it's Harry, he is saint, he is professional, he can't do that, his reputation is important for him, etc".
But he did fucking "kick off"

I think the big takeaway from this is that it's a desperation play from Kane's side. That suggests a deal is far from done despite the confidence from City's end.

Again the gutting thing is that he's doubled down on trashing his legacy to secure a move there of all places. It won't be the same if it stays but part of me really hopes both he and City don't get their way. Both of those parties have handled this whole thing poorly.

Believe it or not there are more than 3 good strikers in world football.

We have been told that a forward is coming if Kane stays. 2 if he leaves. We have been told that Don Fabio gets all his ducks in a row before deciding which one to shoot.

Chill ?

not even Abramovich) has built their wealth off the back of a zealously pursued murderous, racist, sexist and homophobic philosophy and then using that money to try and cover their reprehensible behaviour. Certainly Abramovich is guilty of robbing the wealth of people during a febrile period of post-Soviet Russia and Ukraine, and he should be condemned for that (and I do condemn him for it), but he still didn't devolve so far as to engage in what the Al-Nahyans do, which they do willingly, happily and with the utmost zeal.

This is a great post @rez9000 and i agree with a lot of it, but it's important not to brush over how despicable a character Abramovich is, and downplay his abhorrent past and enabling behavior.

Your statement shows how successfully his 20 year sports washing campaign has been.

As a reminder, Abramovich made his money during the "Aluminium Wars" , which led to 100 deaths as individuals fought to takeover Russian state assets appropriated from the Russian people - approximately 20% of Russian wealth is controlled by c. 100 people - and Abramovich is the 10th richest Russian.

In 2018, he was identified by the British government as one of six oligarchs to be targeted for sanctions following the attempted assassination of the Skripal's in Salisbury - the second on British soil by Russia. He subsequently took Israeli citizenship and withdrew his UK Visa application to avoid the fall out - just what any innocent party would do.

He was sanctioned because he was described by British Intelligence as "Mr Putin’s most important financial supporter."

Why should we care?!

In Russia, you cannot exist as an Oligarch without the blessing of Putin. Putin recently installed himself as dictator for life. He has had NINE political opponents murdered, illegally invaded and annexed parts of Ukraine and runs a fascist dictatorship that is at its very core racist, xenophobic, homophobic and illiberal, with a justice system that is anything but - dissidents are routinely jailed.

And to re-emphasise - Abramovich was described as "Putin's biggest financial supporter". Putin can do what he does because he has the tacit support of people like Abramovich. He uses his ill gotten wealth to pose a presentable face and enjoy a lifestyle that leaves his fellow country-men impoverished because of the greed of a small number of men like him, who enable, and are enabled by, Putin.

The very fact he's being held as an example against the owner's of City shows how effective sports washing can be. He's a key player for a murderous dictator who is as every bit as bad as the owners of City.

It reinforces why we should stand up against sports washing whether it's by City's owners, Abramovich, the Leicester owners, or the Saudi attempt at the Newcastle takeover.

The question for us all is - how will WE react if we receive significant funds from the Qataris, as has been rumoured with naming rights?

More importantly - WHAT can we do?

That's the dilemma true fans have faced at other clubs because of a failure of authorities - the FA, EPL, the British government - to set minimum standards of ownership.

Your club or your principles? It should be an easy choice - but we're possibly going to find out it's anything but

Just read this full article and all it did was further infuriate me.

How dare you believe we should accept your will to move because of your "professionalism" when you hung our entire squad and new coaching setup out to dry?

How dare you claim you're not slighting the club when you fail to turn up for work?

How dare you brief the media that you'll accept the reaction from the fans but then continue to make excuses as to why it's not your fault?

Fuck off, Harry.

What is amusing is that he probably thinks putting these articles out there will get him on the fans side but it’s doing the opposite. Plus when you see opposing fans saying the same things as us you know that it is the player in the wrong. There’s comments from Chelsea and Liverpool fans backing our football club over the player. That’s how much the Kanes have fucked it!

It would hurt like disowning my child, but I will have nothing to do with Spurs if we take dirty Qatari money. I'd go support Brentford, or Bournemouth, or Orient, or Woking.

Unfortunately, as Chelsea and City and PSG has shown, not enough supporters will take that stand and it'll carry on regardless.

At this point I'd find it rather amusing if Levy said, You know what, fuck it. I'm done with this shit. You can leave on a free in 3 years. We aren't selling you.

Given their alleged bids this summer, next summer city will expect to pay an 8 pack of stella and a jazz mag.

These dumb wits need to realize that the clubs set the sale price, not the players. They are there to do a job, the same way the chairman is there to do a job.
Why should the buyers always hold all the cards? Spurs are in a strong position to ask for anything they deem value for their asset. The asset does not determine their own value on the market.
Harry you keep to scoring goals and let the business people run the business.

If this is the last chance saloon for these two knobs, then they have showed themselves up for sure. If Harry is still with us come deadline day I can’t say I will be overjoyed to see his mug.

What is amusing with the “Levy refuses to pick up the phone” part is that when you call CK66, it goes straight to answerphone every time!

Forgive me if this has been beaten to death upthread, but isn't it wild that he's dragged his teammates, the club, and the fanbase through all this mud and he *still* hasn't (to my knowledge) submitted a transfer request. Really weird, right? This part doesn't make sense to me one bit. Does he think that he can get away with (gestures around) all this, but still keep the fans onside? Some half-baked negotiating tactic? I'm lost.
