I'm now at the point where I think just take the highest offer available by the end of the week.

Even if that's 127m so be it - At the end of the day we've had a fair few years of Harry Kane and won the square root of f*ck all. He'll go to Man City, who'll probably win the league anyway with or without him so really what are we losing by selling him from 130m ish?

We're likely to end up in a similar position with or without him, they're in a similar position and we've got rid of a negative influence in the team and have a 130m that will enable us to move on to our targets.

Basically I'm bored of listening to him and it seems like anything 130m+ in this depressed market would enable us to get at least a couple of decent players in who do want to play for us.
Absolutely no way we should be taking less for him. Any selling club would know we were desperate so would put the price up so the money wouldn’t go far. It would also show we are happy for any player to pull this kind of stunt and get their way.

We’re going to get Fraizer Campbelled all over again. Can feel it.
I love how some names just never get forgotten in the internet age. That transfer happened 13 years ago, it's like writing back in 2005 that "we're going to get Jason Dozzell'd".

I still have almost 40 pages to catch up on, so something may have changed. But that article has infuriated me so much. I was a bit on the fence before, but seriously fuck him now. Stay or go, but he'll never have my support again.

I disagree - get agreements in place this week before the sale becomes public but with the knowledge that it will go through by Friday at the latest, and next time a player tries it look at the situation at that point and decide what's best for the club.

Players will try it again whether we accept 127m or 150m this time. It will make no difference. It's the way some players are advised. As I say, all that matters at the moment (outside of winning a rather lame dick measuring contest with Man City) is that we are in the best possible place to succeed for the coming season.

Maybe he will knuckle down and the speculation will go away if we force him to stay, I doubt it but fingers crossed.

Again, zero excuses for him not to play tomorrow. Something is going on....
Certainly suspicious given the opposition.

Even if he's 75% fit, a run out/match minutes would be perfect prep.

I am just going to assume that until the window is closed, Spurs are gonna keep him out the spotlight as much as possible to avoid even more distraction for the team

Why would he not play on Thursday when it would be the perfect opportunity to get match fit?

But yet he’ll apparently be available to be on the bench on Sunday - something definitely is going on.

Not sure if anyone's posted it yet, but some very tenuous claims of info on BM:

Tried to make it make sense, as it was a conversation between two posters

If Laporte and Jesus are so good, how come they are behind Ake and Nobody at City?
And if Vlahovic is such a certainty, why aren’t City buying him?
Wake up everyone, we need to keep Kane even if we have to handcuff him to a radiator at the Lodge!

You may be correct, but conditioning is a plausible reason.

Oh come on. He is the only player now from the Euros or Copa America in the EPL not "ready" for the league in regards to fitness.

You have an opportunity to play in a reasonably competitive game to get up to speed quicker for the prem.

This isn't directed at you but all this fitness, conditioning stuff is utter garbage.

Perhaps Charlie has invited the Man City team to come over from their London base (not unlike a lot of their fans) to beg them on his knees to increase their bid.

In wrestling this is what would be known as the double turn. Good guy Harry Kane is now the villain, and evil Daniel Levy is now the hero. Fair play to the Kanes for rebuilding Levy's stance with the fans. So good I have to applaud it.
