As an aside, surprising how many people have gobbled down the "£1bn debt" and haven't thought to do any research into what the stadium debt is etc. Internet's really shite for 'programmable idiots' like that
Agree!

It’s almost like none of them understand what a mortgage is! Most people don’t buy their home outright, they take a huge loan that’s repaid over a lot of years. That’s the same as our stadium.

unlike Citeh we actually built a brand new state of the art stadium, not just move to one that was available.

I’m going to put my balls on the line and say this is getting done by the end of the window imo, Mr Abu Dhabi will eventually blow us out the water with the money we want

Even if Kane would have a release clause, it would not surprise me if the media narrative still would be that we just should let him go because he ”deserves” it - even if the bid would be much lower than the release clause amount.

It's basically someone renting their house sneering at you for having a mortgage

Now now!

No Southern, entitled snobbery please!

Grew up on a council estate in elephant and Castle and damned proud of it!
I grew up on one too wasnt a dig at that, just that they have never had that financial worry especially when they only pay 2m a year rent for the whole complex and earn everything off it.

That post actually sums up that website in a nutshell. They seem to be the most uninformed fan base I’ve ever witnessed. I’d go as far as to say the gooners aren’t that much worse.

Not sure how the 2 are related but yes, I agree. The deal that both City and west ham got is absolutely ridiculous. How that can possibly be fair when there are teams bankrupting themselves to build new stadiums and teams at the lower end of the pyramid under constant threat of homelessness!

To be fair to the gooners they became cock after years of success and numerous great teams while we were utter shit.

They are basically the same as us. Similar demographics etc.

That being said, I'm loving their fall from grace and aftv is the first place I visit after they lose!

Reading the comments on Bluemoon, makes me chuckle. They are talking about us being f.... for having debt on the stadium and that we keep increasing our debt?? They clearly do not know the difference between healthy debt and loans. like a long term Stadium and property and the horrible debt they are in.

What would they do if the PL did the same as Laliga did now? Bot h City and Chelsea are BILLIONS in debt to their owners and that is on player wages and purchases which has NO value for a potential buyer. Man i would love for City and chelsea to realy get heavy sanctioned for they way they have cheated the system so many years.

CIty are essentially in a similar situation to West Ham, too - they only lease their stadium. It's owned by the council.

Which, in essence, means it's someone in a council house with a good credit rating sneering at you for having a mortgage.

They also manage to say their owner have not put cash into the squad in years, yeah no shit, it is because they mask it as "sponsor money" :D man they are clueless up there.

With us being linked to no strikers, all points to Kane staying.
If he signs new contract, it better be with no release clause and him staying for good. Otherwise same nonsense could happen next season.
Now or never for Kane

If Kane signs a new contract with no release clause then he is definitely the thickest footballer of my lifetime..... and he’s up against some pretty strong competition.

Spurs could equally match that sentiment by reaching our to their media contacts and emphasizing that other players (such as Grealish and most likely Haaland next season) only left their respective teams after the release clause was met. With a definitive price set, if City try to negotiate, we can hammer home the point that they paid Grealish release clause in full.
