Most likely is he’s got a release cause in a new contract and city will trigger it next summer but let’s see.

A good first step to repair the damage done earlier the window. Wasn't expecting such an emphatic public statement and it takes a lot of bottle to do it, so fair play to him.

If we saw a new contract with a written agreement for his exit depending on our finish/lack of trophies this year, think that would be best for all sides. Harry you have a chance now to stay or leave as a club legend, so hopefully you get it right!

Time to reward him with a new 5 year contract. Happy to include a release clause as long as only active in July and not August, to allow us to avoid another disruptive summer. Say £130M if we do not qualify for the CL the following season. He'll be 29 next summer, that would be great value.

Glad it's been dealt with so emphatically. Was dreading this week, not even bothered whether they stump up and he goes, or if he stays, but just the uncertainty. This kills that dead, and now we can focus on getting any other business done and moving on from it for now. FFS. Great news.
