Can we have a chat about this man? A serious discussion, about how amazing he is.

That’s 20 goals in only 26 matches. If it weren’t for that doped up blonde freak in Manchester he’d be running away with POTY. World class season and utterly brilliant in the final third yet again. The pass to Richy for the penalty was top drawer.

Doped up?

The bean counter should just open the chequebook and give him whatever it takes to keep as he is pretty much Spurs at the moment.

I think if we sign a few of his teamates in the England squad ie Maddison Pickford Guehi

We will have a better chance of keeping him

That and getting top 4

I agree but it might help. I think we are a very poorly run club on the football recruitment side of things, I shudder at Kane going as then it will get incredibly grim.

Id play to his legacy as well - statue outside the stadium / a stand named after him / seat on the board like Dalglish/Charlton at Liverpool&Utd.

I just see Utd going big for him this summer. Weghorst is clearly a stopgap it’s just whether they are up for a protracted fight with Levy or they go for younger Osimhen.

I'd love to get him but won't happen

why is the past relevant? They’ve improved, particularly after getting Casemiro in, but if we can fix our CB issue, I don’t think we’ll be far behind them.- if at all

Especially if we get a manager in who wants to play on the front foot.

is it Martin Samuel who's suggesting the chance of H renewing is "non-existent"?

I doubt he has a good sauce on this...

Reading the thread and thinking about the waisted opportunities to win silverware over the last 10 years with one, if not, the best striker in the world, is pretty depressing.
I’m resigned to him leaving now, and typically, I would be in the same boat as many who are not wanting a player to win anything at another club. For Kane, depending on which club of course, I feel the opposite. If he does go, at this point, I understand it. And, if that happens, I do want the guy to win something, however much I would on some levels feel bitter about that.
It’s criminal that a club like Spurs, with all our recent success and wealth, have not driven forward, invested in a complete squad, and thrown caution to the wind so we could win silverware.

He must see what we all see and must feel it on a much more personal level. The frustration he experiences each year has to be huge. Looking around and seeing other clubs bringing in enough top quality players to push on but never seeing the same thing happening with Tottenham. There’s always gaps. There’s times when maybe he could have done more in big matches, but overall, the blame should he leave needs to be directed at Levy and the board.

I feel apathy now, and don’t think anything is going to change, regardless of what manager we bring in or if Harry Kane stays. Nothing in the previous 20 years tells me that we will change our stance and strategy around paying the going rate to bring in great players needed to build a complete squad that will push us over the line to glory.
