I don't see the appeal in Real Madrid at the moment. He would be better with one of the top Premier League clubs.

Titles, champions league and outside of football, life style, food, culture and language. He'd be a (even more of) phenomenon there. As much as it pains me.

That said, he's a fairly homely guy, as was Bale and he'd have to consider fitting into the real culture.

Anyway, moot as none of us have a clue of it's even a remote possibility.

It's not that they're not a great team I just don't see why you would leave the Premier League for La Liga. I think he's better to join a top Premier League club instead. He can join who he likes next year and keep going for the record. Maybe in a few years he gets the record here and then move to Real Madrid who are still going to be a massive club challenging for titles. It just seems a few years too soon for him. Besides I think the Premier League is a whole other level to La Liga now.

How can anyone not see the appeal of Real Madrid, europes most succesful team, great manager, always there or there abouts and perhaps most importantly far more likely Levy deals with a club outside the premiership.

Itll be interesting to see how the early part of summer goes for Kane. If I was him, I'd let Levy know that I'd be going public on my demand to leave Spurs and do not intend to play for Spurs again. That way, Levy can use some negotiating strength while the news is not public. If that doesn't work, then just go public with a transfer request and say you don't intend to play for spurs again. Essentially going on strike, which would generate plenty of nonsense from fans, but his end goal should take precedence.

No matter who comes in to manage Spurs now, it is only blind 'love' of club that would mean he stays another year or more at this shitshow.

I was adamant 2 yrs ago during the City stand off that we had to hold our ground. There was heaps of fan nonsense and hurt feelings then too. But mismanagement since then has been catastrophic. He's been sensational for us and it's a shame we couldn't maintain a competitive level while we have him.

And I'll wish him all the best when he goes and follow his endeavours with interest.

Described my reasons a few posts up. I said I don't so the appeal in Real Madrid at the moment in the context of Kane (since this is his thread). I never said I don't see the appeal in Real Madrid in general. It would be crazy for him to leave before he gets the record.

Real Madrid are the biggest football probably biggest sports team on Earth. He would win titles and CL’s and play with some of the best players on Earth while not being part of a cheating plastic fraud club (Man City).

Shearer’s record compared to that isn’t much and if Haaland stays he will probably beat Kane’s record anyway. If I was in Kane’s position I would run to Real, it would also give him opportunity to be the Ballon winner.

We absolutely cannot sell Kane this summer considering the absolute shit show going on everywhere else. If we bring our form from the last 10 games into next season then we’re on for around 34 points with Kane. Without him we might actually go down.
Keeping him for one more year is worth more than we’d get for him.

Harry Kane's priority is personal records. His empty trophy cabinet says it all.

What im trying to say is, he will never move out of Premier League before breaking Shearer's record.

And why not. I rate Shearer higher than numerous other top strikers with considerably more trophies.

Becoming the Prem’s top ever scorer will propel his status considerably more than a title win with an elite club.

What? Shearers record is massive and there's no chance Haaland beats it having spent a while outside the league. Winning titles with Real Madrid is something hundreds of players do. Becoming all time record scorer in the biggest league in the world is legendary. It could run for decades.

He could get Shearer’s record with us. He would probably win the Champions League with Madrid, he would have more chance than basically anyone else. If he wants trophies then Madrid is the easy option.

Will depend on his main aim. I believe he wants to become Prem top ever scorer. So if he leaves, Utd is most likely destination.

All guesswork though.

He could but Shearer won nothing with Newcastle and is a legend here. There's no doubt titles will be huge for Kane too especially a CL one. Although I would say he probably is more motivated to win a Premier League title. Besides City are on the verge of the CL title this season so probably would have just as much chance with them. If I was Kane I would leave next season on a free and join City. He's likely to win the league title there and could still win the CL with them too. Go get the Premier League record and then go abroad in a few years to a team like Real Madrid. Benzema won the Ballon dor at 34, Lewandowski just won the title and has won the Super Cup this season at 34 and about to win the top scorer for the season. I really think a player like Kane is going to have a few years in him playing in La Liga in his 30s. The Premier League is so high tempo now it's going to be difficult to do that here. He has time to do it all late in his career, become the Premier League top scorer and win the Premier League title, go to Spain and win titles over there, possibly win a Champions League in either country.

I think it’s most likely that he will stay in the PL.

I just can’t see Levy getting the price he will want in the summer (or convincing him to sign a new contract). Which most likely means Harry leaving on a free and joining either one of the Manc clubs or Chelsea if Poch is still there.

I think you’re right although I just can’t see him joining Chelsea. That would torch his relationship with Spurs almost to Sol levels. I don’t think he would do that. For me it’s Utd this summer (if they offer stupid money - they need a number 9) or City for free in ‘24.

Wildcard shout is Newcastle next summer and he takes Shearers record wearing the black and white.

Its all various levels of miserable but that’s where our club is at the moment sadly.
