What about the Milan forward Charles de karteree he looks pretty good
Your attempt at this player’s name is so immense that you’ve managed to stump both me and the world’s most popular search engine.

De Who?

I think we should offer him a bumper pay rise without a contract extension for this season, with a new contract with certain criteria about leaving us in future years contained within it on the table to be revisited in January.

The thing for me is if Kane leaves then I wish him all the best as he's the best player I've ever seen on a spurs shirt.

However if he ends up at another Premier League side then I'm not so sure. Imagine watching a programme about him in years to come as Premier League top scorer and seeing him breaking it in a Utd jersey for example and be associated as "Manchester Utd's Harry Kane" Would ruin a lot for me and the media would love referring him as that and belittle his time with spurs.

Maybe a bit petty but if it's not with us then I'd maybe prefer he doesn't break such records.

Anyway, we smash it under ange and he signs a new contract 🤞

Yeah really tough one for me.

The optimist in me says he stays, scores for fun this year under a very attacking system and decides to stay after a positive first year under Ange.

The pessimist in me says he stays, gets his goals and our defense improves, but not enough to do any real damage in the cups/league. He leaves for free, wants to stay in England and goes to a domestic rival..

He's earned to decide whatever he wants at this point, but it does put the club in a lose/lose situation to the point where I really didn't hate the idea of Bayern coming in and paying a massive fee for him to go abroad. Not actively hoping he leaves, but if he did, that would be the ideal scenario.

If he were to leave I would target Hojlund. Only 20, but he has that bit extra to his game yet is still absolutely lethal at arriving in the right places in the 18. Works hard and loves to get his teammates involved, 16 goals/7 assists in all comps. He's one I expect to have a breakout season in the next year or two and his fee could be 100m range after that.

A more cultured headline would have been ‘Kane building his Xanadu’…. :)
This isn't exactly news. How long would it take Kane to drive from Essex or Hertfordshire to Wentworth? An hour or so? Even if joined one of the Manc clubs, the Surrey stockbroker belt's still fairly quick and easy to get to by road or by air.

Especially as you know the United brigade on BT and Sky will milk it that he is a United player and diminish the fact he scored the vast majority of his goals with us.

They will basically take credit for it. Can already see Rio's smug face "That's why Kane came to United"

I love Kane.

He epitomises what is great about football. Roy of the rovers stuff; coming through an academy, beating the odds and becoming a club and country’s most famous and successful striker. Of all time.

I’ll talk about him like grandad did about Greaves and Smith. And like my dad did about hoddle and Gazza.

but, put on another premier league teams shirt? Fuck him for the foreseeable.

If he moves to Man.U or even City it’ll be like if Gerrard had moved to Chelsea, it would completely ruin his legacy.

It’s a really interesting one because it’s mostly the media that puts all the pressure on players to win trophies.

If it were me I’d rather be a one club man and break the PL scoring record and then move abroad and maybe wins few trophies there and try a new culture for a few years but personally I’d not want to move to Man.U or City as it would ruin my legacy at Spurs.

But I think Kane will give into the media pressure and push for a move to Man.U or Bayern his summer, if not he’ll leave on a free to city next summer, when haaland will likely leave.

We shall see.

Hopefully he give Ange's style of football a chance, we nick the FA CUP this year and he signs a new deal.

Even if we did sell him to Bayern, and he wanted to go, neither of which I think will come to pass, it doesn't stop him rocking up back in the PL at a later date in any case, so I can't see any logic in wanting to sell him abroad to get him out of the league to stop him from achieving the record with someone else as I think he'll do it come hell or high water unless he has a career ender.

The only hope we have of him doing it here is doing something good this season to get another season out of him, as a good season for Tottenham this year means another nailed on 20-25 league goals for him, meaning that he'll bust it the following season. If we can get him close enough, we might get that year out of him, and then everyone wins, because I do believe he'd rather score all of his goals for this club if he can.

2 more years, get the record, swan off to Madrid for a CL. I think we'd all take that and be happy with it.

Give entire career to Tottenham and he'll take that Greaves record for top flight, not just the Premier League.

Extend his contract and loan him out to a champs league team. It's unorthodox but I want him to be ours if he comes back to England.

Or offer him another contract of only a year, so he has 2 years left instead of one. Gives him a pay increase, flexibility to leave, time for us to properly get a replacement, plus the opportunity to get the PL record with us. It’s only contract length that’s preventing him get that record in a spurs shirt. I suspect deep down he’d want to get there with us too.

Sadly unlikely but that would be an ideal scenario. 2 more years at Spurs, gets the record, (maybe) wins something under Ange, then heads off to Madrid/Bayern and never signs for another PL club.

Ideal scenario is we win the FA Cup and Carabao this season coming and get top 5, he then signs a new 3 year deal and he smashes Shearers record in a Spurs shirt and who knows maybe we can nick a CL 😃
