I feel like it would be Son or Richarlison playing on the shoulder and the money would be used to strengthen elsewhere to make sure we have players who fit the system.I'd much rather Vlahovic personally.

Nope.
It makes Levy not only look weak, but in fact makes him a weak functionary. This is not a good look for a man who basically likes to runs an entire business with absolute authority and pay himself accordingly. And who owns a chunk of it, albeit not the majority.
If there’s any truth in the rumour, there will be ramifications in the running of the club that go beyond the sale of Harry Kane.
This just wouldn't be acceptable. Losing one of the best strikers in world football and not directly replacing would be pitchfork territoryI feel like it would be Son or Richarlison playing on the shoulder and the money would be used to strengthen elsewhere to make sure we have players who fit the system.
Why is being sold this summer "exactly" what Kane wants? For all we know, he's 50/50 on it. It's not like it's now or never for him- he will likely have better offers at the end of the season than he does now.
To me, it's plausible the club are putting pressure on him to sign a new contract or leave. Because, unlike Kane, for the club, it really is now or never.
Probably Kane has told the club he is not signing a new contract, and someone has got wind of that. It doesn't have to be the orchestrated leak some are making it out to be.
He has one of Europes biggest clubs sniffing around him (who he has already met with the manager) ? Doesn't sound like he's thinking of 12 months down the line to me.Why is being sold this summer "exactly" what Kane wants? For all we know, he's 50/50 on it. There are only 2 or 3 realistic options who could replace him and do a decent job, and if for whatever reason none of them were available to us (either selling clubs didn't want to sell, or player didn't want to come), replacing him this Summer might not be an option. This just wouldn't be acceptable. Agreed.Yeah, I don't see why Man U being interested would justify Levy selling to Bayern for a discounted fee. He doesn't have to accept Man U's offer. It would make him look very weak to claim he had no choice but to sell to Bayern now Man U are in the mix.
But I don't think telling Kane to either sign a contract or leave would make Levy look weak. On the contrary, it could make Levy appear strong because he's taking a hardline- you commit or get out, we won't let you run down your contract.
I doubt it's "exactly" what Kane wants but it's probably more attractive proposition than staying at spurs winding down his contract for 12 months without the security of a long term deal , in a rebuiild season without CL football/much chance of a trophy and the constant churn of stories related to a potential move.

We've known for about 3 years he will be moving on. We should have spent the whole time scouting strikers that would be capable of filling his role or a similar role. There are only 2 or 3 realistic options who could replace him and do a decent job, and if for whatever reason none of them were available to us (either selling clubs didn't want to sell, or player didn't want to come), replacing him this Summer might not be an option.
I'd rather go in to the season with our current attack minus Kane and have our defence and midfield issues 100% sorted than end up spunking £80m on a striker who might not be the real deal just to appease the fans.
I don't want him gone but being objective - he's in the last year of his contract - he's expressed a desire to leave before and he's going to want to win trophies. These tabloids are doing exactly what they have set out to do by printing stories like this; turning Spurs fans mindsets towards their greatest ever player into one where they want him gone.
It’s absolutely crazy IMO.
Levy and co cannot be trusted with money, we have seen that before. I do not want HK to leave, no matter how much money we are offered. He is irreplaceable on and off the pitch and we most certainly will not be able to attract a top European striker this season. FWIW, I don’t rate Richarlison at all in this role.
That's not how Levy works though, he's reactionary. We'll likely end up with the best deal that's available when it happens, none of that future planning nonsense. We've known for about 3 years he will be moving on. We should have spent the whole time scouting strikers that would be capable of filling his role or a similar role.
The guy that is perfect for that is Kolo Muani but we will be priced out of a move for him.Vlahovic is just a worse version of Kane.
If we sell Kane, I want us to build a fluid, high pressing attack like Liverpool under Klopp.
I think for me at least Bayern would be a good one to go for, he's bound to win some trophies, he's in the champions league with a very good squad, he'd get paid plenty and he would not piss off the spurs fans compared to if he moved to a premier league team. Now i will say that Bayern fans/journos have not covered themselves in glory so far but out of so many teams if Kane went to Bayern i would far prefer that. It's a tough one for him though as this will be the last big contract most likely.I still don’t get why Kane would want to go to Bayern when so near to premier league goal scoring record?
Unless he reckons he’ll go there a couple of years than an English club would be in for him?
