Disappointed in the stupid comment from Ginola this morning on TS regarding this RM interest in Kane.
He said 'we said the same about Bale' when asked would he go.
Err??? No we didn't. Why would Bale want to stay at Spurs? Was he born in London? Was he a Spurs fan since a child? Did he come through Spurs academy? Are Bales family Spurs fans and London born and breed?
There's absolutely no fkin comparison in the 2 players. Add to that weve a new stadium we need to fill and its a no brainer.
I know its all bollocks anyway but annoying a Spurs legend would say something so stupid.

Thought exactly the same thing

What trash that station is.

Think you are overreacting a bit. We (and the club directors) repeatedly did say that Bale wouldn't leave. It is simply a comparison between the club's response to rumoured interest, not a factor by factor comparison between the players. If one were to draw comparisons between the players, loads of shite along the lines that you laid out about Kane were said about Bale. He (supposedly) loved being home, he would go home to Wales to see his family during time off rather than jetting off somewhere exotic, he loved the club, he loved AVB, he loved London, he would never leave one club where he was the star to struggle for playing time at another club etc. etc. etc.

Find me a very top class Striker that isn't greedy. Scoring goals is his primary job. He won't do that without backing himself and taking shots.
The greedy argument just doesn't make sense to me, no ones calling him that after he's just banged one in when someone was in a better position, its only if he misses.
You watch all the elite strikers, theres a reason they rack up the numbers they do.

England Captain.....Sir Harry of the Kane.....

Honestly they say it isn't permanent but you look at that squad and its full of meh players. The team captain has to be someone who will be in every squad and every first 11 when fit. Harry is the only one I see in that category at the moment with England so I think he should be made captain for this WC at the very least.

Disappointed but not surprised to see Lukaku winning September's PFA Fans' Player of the Month, given how ruthless Kane was throughout.

If it's just based on league matches then Lukaku scored 4 goals and got one assist in September, scoring in every game. Kane scored six, and was on target in three out of four games. I'd be surprised if Lukaku's all round contribution was anywhere close to Kane's though. Let's see who gets the real prize for September.

I have no doubts that Kane will stay with us for the forseeable near future, thing i hate about these sort of links to Real are they start a trend were each next story linking kane to madrid builds on the last, until over a course of 3 or 4 years it seems like the transfer was an inevitability kinda of pushing a player into a transfer. It happened with Modric and Bale and I really wished papers and fans would appreciate what the club has at the moment. But that doesnt sell.

Lukaku needs everybody to serve him in the penalty area, incapable of creating something on his own outside the box. Kane grabs the ball, tricks 2-3 defenders and fires of successful shots before he has even breached the opponent's box. Hence, IMO, Kane is the better player.
That ain't true! Agree that Kane has way more to his game than Lukaku though, and is the easily the better striker and has a better all round game.

Also, Lukaku's far more of a confidence player too, which means his head drops if the game's not going his way. Kane just has that complete striker's belief in himself, which means he's always ready to take his opportunities whatever's happened just before.

Yes it is. The main difference, and what Lukaku neglected when he commented on Kane last season, is that Kane can create and score. Lukaku can't create anything on his own outside the box to save his life, he can only score off other's work. Granted one doesn't have to be a creator to become an exceedingly good player, but one must to become a great player.

Think Cahill probably fits into that category as well tbh. I think the biggest criteria for an England Captain has to be behaviour nowadays, which is why it would be one of those two for me. Last thing the FA need now is an England captain that spends as much time on the front pages as he does on the back. That is why for me it can only be between those two. Cahill has the experience, whereas Kane is the future.

I was still editing my post when you responded. Didn't make much difference to my message to you. We don't need to diminish the ability of another good striker to highlight the superiority of Kane. Lukaku doesn't "need everybody to serve him in the penalty area". This just isn't true. Kane, however, has so much more to his game than Lukaku, both as a striker and as a footballer.

Its not the same mate. If you think Spurs and London mean the same to Bale as they do to Kane we'll just agree to disagree. And nobody in the media or with any sense thought Bale would stay.

Well, he does. It's not diminishing him, as much as it is describing who he is as a player. As he can't create much himself, he need players around him who creates and trusts in reaching Lukaku in the box. That's just how is game is.

Yes but Cahill isn't international quality in my book, that's the problem. Hart plays every game but has not been in the top bracket for some time. Jones is a regular but not good enough. Henderson has been captain but...again average. All these players I feel would be dropped in a second if a true quality player emerges like Alli did in recent years (yes I know that's rare). But Kane is the only player in that squad who I feel is in the world class bracket and will be for years, and more importantly wont be superseded any time soon. Sterling is showing this at the moment at City but this is the first time in his career so far that he has shown top level performances on a consistent basis and the likes of Walcott and Townsend in his position have had spells where they look like they will be something special. The England squad right now is as poor as its been in a long time I think, primarily because of a poor quality of central defenders, central midfielders, no controlling creative ACM such as Eriksen and no standout keeper. I look at the squad and don't know what the best 11 is not because of too many options but because of too few. Not a problem for the Germans, Belgians or Spanish etc. Its sad and why international football has been dead to me for so long. Anyway - great for Kane to boost what must be a massive bag of confidence at the moment.

Well, that’s different from people need to “serve him in the box”. That’s generally where goals are scored, so obviously that’s the area where wingers, AMs and other attacking forwards seek to target.

Lukaku works in the box, he’ll create space for himself in that area where he’s most effective and he’ll get his goals in plenty of different ways, ‘cause he’s pretty good, and not ‘cause he’s simply served.

I like the comparisons between Kane and Lukaku because Kane’s heads up the better player inside and outside the box, with and without the ball.

Fuck me I can't take much more of Talksport. Micky Gray firstly said if Madrid offered us x million for Kane we will take it to pay for the stadium. Then he proceeded to say that in a couple of years he can see Poch in Manchester and Kane with him, what the actual fuck these fuckers are relentless on trying to dismantle Spurs wankers.

Well, I ain't on talksport, but I can see in a couple of years that Poch and Kane will still be Tottenham and having a great time in the new Spurs stadium.
