I don’t think scoring goals will be our big problem next season.
Scoring the 5 or 6 to win a game will be the problem. Our defence was shir last year with two holding mids and on the edge of our box. This year it's one holding and on the half way line.

Without decent defenders we'll concede a lot. Add to that Richarlison's goal scoring exploits last season don't fill me with confidence.

I said a while ago that the problem with trying to replace Harry Kane is that you're trying to replace two players. A world class striker and a world class creator. I actually think that with Richarlison and James Maddison, we have two pretty good replacements for him. There's nobody like Harry Kane, and I still hold onto the 1% chance he won't go and he'll sign an new contract, but if(/when) he does, we're as ready as we can be going forward I feel.

With the addition of the 2 CBs being a must, otherwise...........

Probably fair to give Rich first half of the season to step up his finishing, which he hopefully could do by consistently being first choice. It does concern me though that he is so much less clinical than Kane. Because as of right now, I am not convinced that him and Maddison combined will replace Kane’s goal output.

I’m just waiting for the announcement statements from both the club & Kane, should be an interesting read 👀
There will be nothing in them if / when they are done. Harry's not going to slate Enic/ Levy while they are still here so be the usual bland crap will be said by both sides.
Maybe in years to come Harry might open up on frustrations but can only see that happening once he's retired and Enic are no longer involved with spurs

The team as a whole might though. And yes, Richarlison is less clinical than Kane. But give him a chance. Pretty well every other striker on the planet is as well.

Couldn't work out why Harry would want to go to a one horse race league but I think I've cracked it. He has a secret fetish for Lederhosen and Reisling.

He will score different types of goals to HK. Who knows how the numbers might end up comparing though. Unfair to judge him on his Everton numbers because he was always in a relegation fight although most of their fans credit him with keeping them up

Yeah, this was a roundabout way of saying that the Kane money needs to be spent on CBs. And young talent.

caveat to this: unless we can get Toney for a good fee, as I feel like he's the closest to Kane there is in the Premier League. Evan Ferguson next, but he's unrealistic.

We need the new defenders that's a given and we all agree on that but perhaps by not defending inside our own box every game and giving the ball straight back to the opposition every time we got it will help our defenders whoever they are. Our defence will have different problems this year no doubt but at least our out ball won't be kick it up to Kane and hope he can play Sonny in.

Maybe you should read that again. Invest that money into the scouting function, hire the best people and start spending it on the anchor tenant.
We have already rebuilt our scouting function under fab. We've employed a lot more in that department over the last 2-3 years.

Why do people think us selling him to Bayern will stop him playing for a prem rival? Whose to say in a years time Poch doesn’t offer 80 mill or whatever to bring him to Chelsea?
You think his value will stay the same when he's under a 5 year contract? To get him out of there is going to cost a fortune. Besides if he really wants to stay in England he would just stay out his final year.
