I get that but why would BM sell him next season when they've been through such a tough transfer saga to get him (that's if they do).
Question: What do you think is more likely, BM sell him back to the PL next season or he goes to one of Man U, Man City or the Chavs on a free?
If Newcastle improve significantly and can pay a king's ransom, he may even go there!........yeah I know, I'm pushing the barcodes one a bit lol
Because Kane and his family don't settle in Germany and he wants to come home?

i'm wondering what Uli Hoeness will have to say about our dear Daniel if the deal was this close and doesn't go thru.

In no way wanting a comment from @Trix ( @Archibald&Crooks take note ) but his comment earlier about Levy’s trip to the US possibly having some relation to Kane…I’m really hoping it’s a if we do x, y, z to be competitive he will sign on for ££££ otherwise he is gone
I suspect its more about finding funding to strengthen without selling Kane, and not about getting Kane to extend right now (or in the next couple of months).

Had Kane just played the game and not said anything, I would still be inclined to say he is going to be sold.
But given , Kane tweet is kind of forward looking...may be there's a big chance he stays now.

If he does stay, I hope he signs the new deal. It would be painful to go through this again next summer
Sadly his best option is a free transfer

Isn’t all a bit late for that though we have had years and years to put a competitive team of players around Kane. It’s criminal that we have messed it up so badly and wasted many years of Kane in his prime.

There is no way he would sign a new deal if he stays, until his contract actually ran out. It would be madness on his part to do that, as he would be free to re-sign with Spurs anyway if he wanted too, but he could also so see what would amount to a huge number of offers most probably.

(Moved to this thread because i fear posting in the ITK.) And that was before today's performance. The pressure on DL to keep HK has to be immense at this point. the fan backlash would be monstrous.
Is there really though? I want Levy gone but there is no real quantitative pressure on Levy, it’s mainly just pissed of fans on the internet. I don’t think Levy changes, I don’t think he ever will to be honest.

We have 50m of the 150m facility still available no?
Yes and no.

ENIC committed to it - but reporting at the time suggested there was a time limit on it.

For the funds to be available, ENIC have to purchase £50M worth of stock.

So, part of Levy's trip could have been to get approval from Joe to make that purchase, and part of it might have been to find even more money - since I don't think £50M is enough to get the caliber of player we need - unless we started to get big money offers for players like Sanchez or Hojbjerg - which have not materialized yet.

Joe Lewis’ bail conditions require him to stay in the USA and he owns a very large development in Florida (where his granddaughter (she’s the medical director of a hospital Lewis’ owns) if not the rest of his family live).

So it’s highly likely that Levy has gone out to see Joe Lewis and family.

They have a big decision to take. Do they take the money from Bayern or keep Kane and gamble on reaching the Champions League. It’s a €100m+ decision so Lewis will want to be involved.

Who knows what they’ll decide but Lewis has always had an appetite for big risks.

As far as my interpretation of all the ITK goes, we were waiting for Bayern to make an acceptable offer, they finally made it, Kane’s been discussing terms with them for ages so it was assumed that us accepting their offer was the only barrier. After today and Kane’s cryptic post, who knows where it’s at now!

Maybe Charlie's just been told that the transfer fee goes to the club and not to him and Harry.

I'm not too sure about this. They'd have to be extremely careful. If Lewis is convicted, and its proven he still has shadow control over Tottenham, suddenly the club becomes part of the case.

They don’t need to be in the same room to make those decisions.

Th club has gone up in value from, what, 80m to 5bn.
The Kane issue doesn’t even touch the sides for Lewis financially so just can’t see him giving a toss either way.

I’ve read the indictment. The club won’t become part of the case which is to do with a short defined list of alleged insider deals.

After today, find it hard to believe some fans would take the cash ‘in hope’ it’d be put towards fresh talent.

We need him. We will not be better off without him, definitely not this year.

The guy is just class and yes, you could argue it was a friendly but he will more than suit our new style of play. He was everywhere and was hugely contributed to the progressiveness.

Do not sell him, Levy

Wouldn’t levy want to keep his distance from Lewis atm with what’s going on?

They are both smart enough not to drag the club into anything. That’s got to be one of the reasons Lewis gave up “control” a while back, with all that money I can imagine he would have been informed what was going to happen.

Yeah there is no real reason for Levy to fly out to meet Lewis...

Unless it's to show him how to unmute the teams app ;)
