Really hope he signs at least a one year extension and stops putting the club through this constant disruption and speculation that started with his dopey interview on the golf course.

He's not doing the club any favours by encouraging the speculation for this pivotal season and then leaving to one of the Manchester or London clubs at the end of the season.

So what now? Do we move for the players we have apparently lined up or leave it and lose the option next year?
Nevertheless if Harry is staying let's at least try to win a cup.

How about he's been prepared to leave this summer because we won't win anything this year and he ensures a big fee for the club, he didn't just want to run his contract down and leave the club nothing next year but if he doesn't go now that's what is going to happen.

Quite possibly. I couldn’t begin to guess what’s in his head. Just musing on one of the things his family might be thinking about.

Millions of people every day have to think about work v life balance to varying degrees and this is no different. You’d assume he would be more happy with having a content family life than the company he’s working for earning lots of money off the back of him, especially when he’s already give a significant portion of his life to them. But like I said, it’s all guesswork. Not long to wait now anyway.

I have mixed emotions. I'm delighted he is going to stay but i am very very concerned about next summer. Will be worse than this year.

I wouldn’t say that’s certain at all at this point in time. But surely something has to happen today for him to go. If Kane stands by his word and he’s in the squad named tomorrow then it’s over (for now).

I don't think he's doing anything of the kind, he's agreed personal terms and was ready to go right now. Moreover there won't be any disruption next year unless he signs an extension because he won't be our player at all. I am beginning to think some people don't realise that.

Next summer will be less dramatic as it will be out of our hands anyway. Let’s enjoy our greatest player in modern times for another season spearheading an attacking spurs side

Still don't think there's any chance he extends, even if we do well this year. Just hope one of Barca or Real put up huge wage packets next Summer.

Yeah agree, it’s impossible to tell what Kane is thinking long term and exactly how open he is to the prospect of signing a new deal. As in what it would actually take him to commit to a new contract. If I were him I would be waiting until the last possible minute before committing to anything. He’s clearly not pushing for a move now. If this ends up with him going to another PL club on a free it’s going to be horrible, that’s all I know.

Well at least we can now focus on the important stuff, like will his new Skechers give him career ending foot rot.

There's over (club and player aware no acceptable bid has been received, and player happy ish to stay) and then there is over (Bayern throwing daft money to us and a bit more of a sweetener to Kane.)

I suspect this is what Herc means

WLB beneath is very accurate. Hope BM don’t pull a genie out the bottle
By the sounds of it, it would take a mega offer to get it done at this point and BM aren’t going to start offering £140/150 mil. I guess Kane isn’t pushing for it anymore which is positive.

You can’t have it both ways. If he had pushed for the move this summer then fans would have had their pitchforks out and calling him all sorts. Instead he’s been professional behind the scenes and the 2 clubs just haven’t sorted out the financials to make a deal work.

None of us want him to go next summer, and speculation throughout the season will be very tiresome, but that situation isn’t entirely of Kane’s making.
