He's wanted out for 3 seasons now and has shown no inclination to change his mind even when we had a really positive end to the season under Conte.

I'm looking forward to a new start where we're more than a one man team and we have players that appreciate what it is to play for THFC.

I meant we 'will' have one of our strongest squads assuming we spend the Kane money on the 3 positions which have been rumoured/mentioned by the ITK's etc mate (CB,AM,ST).

Every single season we've always had a weakness in our squad as long as I can remember, we always 'leave ourselves short'.

My positive take on this is that with the Kane money if we sign the 3 positions mentioned we will have quality in every position more or less both in terms of a first XI and 2nd XI for imo the first time ever in the PL.

I'm hoping the old adage of 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts' so to speak will be true in that whilst we will have no Kane we will have very few weaknesses and so the overall 'team' under Ange will be very strong.

Only time will tell.

If we don't sign those 3 positions and/or 4 with a new CM as well then I will personally go and put some strong staining head polish on Levy's bonce.
€33m each across three positions gets us three more young hopeful signings. Not three first team players ready to take us up a level

We were told it would be different after the stadium was built tbf.

Kept their word.
I actually think that keeping his word is exactly what Levy’s done here. As much as that will be an unpopular opinion. And for all the assassination and belittling of his character (as opposed to the anger at his performance as a chairman) - I do think he’s said to Harry that if he gets the money he can go.

I think you have to respect that don’t you? Isn’t that what you’d want him to do?

(This in no way forgives the Mourinho and Conte episodes that brought us here - to be very fucking clear - and yes we shouldn’t be in the position, but we are and we can only surely judge this in the here and noe)

If Kane is going as it appears, no anger should be directed at him IMO. He’s the best striker in the world and he’s stayed loyal and professional (bar some press antics the Man City summer) while we’ve had multiple horrible seasons of horrible football. And he’s going to a foreign club and avoiding a rival.

The blame isn’t with him, it’s on bad decisions made by the club starting with the sale of Walker and transferless summer many years ago.
Absolutely spot on.

To add to this, I actually think the reason Kane is accepting Bayern is because he cares about protecting his legacy with us so much.

Take out any emotion and look at it logically, and Kane would quite honestly be a fool to have not seen out his contract and gone on a free to a prem rival next year.

1. He’d get to stay in the country
2. He’d 100% get the prem scoring record.
3. He’d get his guaranteed trophies.
4. He’d get much more money.

So to me the only reason that he’d be happy to go to Bayern would be out of love for Spurs.

And I know people will retort with ‘if he loves Spurs then why wouldn’t he just sign a contract?’, but these will be the same people that would say “I’m done with Levy, and we’ll never win anything with him here”.

Well Kane has been up close and personal with Levy for a decade, so he probably believes that even more than any of us could! Kane’s already given us a decade of service, I think it’s fair for him to now want to move on.

I will put a tenner down right now donated to the fact we get one cheap CB and that will be it for us for the rest of the window. Then will be told its too hard to sign anyone in January.

We can't force him to keep signing contracts

Levy doesn't actively want us to fail and under him we've built teams that have finished top 4.

I think he took us as far as we could go and we'd be better off with someone who both doesn't abuse human rights and is also willing to aggressively spend, don't get me wrong. But we sold Berbatov and Keane and built a top 4 team. We sold Bale and Modric and built a top 4 team. Levy wants CL to keep up that "brochure image" and he's clearly not incapable of making that happen.

With that said I'm sick to death of chasing top 4, as I feel it's all we've done for nearly 20 years. I don't give a shit about getting in the CL again if it's going to be what it was last season or like a QF exit. Past caring about it.
in a few years it will be the top 8 that gets champs league anyway. i remember when it was the European Cup, where only champions of the league qualified.

We shall spend the period ahead of next season working relentlessly to position our Club for on-pitch success and football you will love to come and watch. Every element of the Club’s operations is geared toward delivering that.

Sounds like your issue is with Poch and the medical staff there. Kane refusing to play in the CL final would have been an all-time bottle job.
There’s no way Kane didn’t say he was fit to play.

And if we’re arguing a lack of ambition - wasn’t the ownership that lost winnable cup games to Milan, Forest and Sheffield United last season.

We wont even use the money wisely - thats what irritates me more than anything. Reports suggest we are no longer pursuing Tapsoba who was apparently our first choice. We arent looking at top CFs, instead a Nigerian lad who has not played much professional football and we are relying on a guy who has never scored more than 13 goals in a season.

Painful rebuild will be an understatement here.
