Olmo actually did what Martinelli tried earlier today and failed (but got lucky) for their first goal. Even though the ‘expert’ commentator believed he meant it.

On a separate note, anyone see before the game started when Kane was sitting on the bench and thought the guy walking past wanted to shake his hand. He put his hand out to shake back and the guy just walked right past him and ignored him. It wasn’t even an attempted shake by the other guy, he was just pointing at something. Felt really bad for Kane 😄 He does look a little bemused by everything at the moment, which is quite normal I guess. I’m sure he’s fine though.
Yeah, I saw that too. Definitely an awkward moment like you just trying to impress everyone on your first day at work but nobody cares. He looked so bored sitting beside Kim Min Jae as well. Son would have been so much more interesting he must have thought.

Without Lewandowski Bayern have been poor by their standards. The same happened to Juventus when Ronaldo left.

What’s concerning for Bayern is they’ve several signings who have been inconsistent and squad fillers who despite not being good enough, have to be involved due to injuries and Bayern having a squad that’s on the smaller side.

Apart from the fact that I hate Bayern, it would be really nice if Harry could wait until may/june 2024 before winning his first trophy... I'm not prepared for the "Kane only needed 1 game for his new club to do what he couldn't do with Spurs" headlines. 🙁

This whole Kane saga has covered up how shit Tuchel has been at Bayern, 4 losses potential 5 in 12 games is horrific for that club.
Yep, that's why I think it was a mistake from Harry. I don't think Bayern will have a good chance at winning CL as long as Tuchel is in charge. But if Harry is happy with winning Bundesliga, I will not take that away from him.

The draw of Bayern is surely just because the rest of the league is one to two levels down. Winning is a given. Qualifying for CL is a certainty.

Honestly, I kind of had a feeling this Bayern team would underwhelm.

had a look at their squad - the front line of Sane, Gnabry, Musiala is quite good, but they're relying on Laimer as their CM? Upamecano has not been good... at all... since joining. And then they got rejected by fucking Kepa of all people, and Neuer has some sort of rare foot injury.

Plus, and I know he's made two of the past 4 CL finals, Tuchel doesn't fill me with belief. He's not a great manager and doesn't coach free-flowing attacking football imo.

Kane is obviously going to improve them massively but if you look at the spine of their side from GK to CB to DM that is nowhere near a CL winning side in my opinion.

They will buy a new DM and have min-jae to come in for upamercano. It's a very strong 11
