Well they collided into each other. That hardly makes it the keepers fault. Watch in real time it isn't at all a bad foul. Kane just got there ahead of him and followed into him after he kicked the ball. How often has Lloris collided with a player after they get to the ball? It's not a foul it's just the nature of football.

If an outfield player makes a challenge like that and gets nowhere near the ball they get sent off for endangering an opponent.

So if England are playing in the knock out stages you won’t remotely care whether we win or not?

Strange, unless you’re not English obviously.

I admit I care far more about Spurs than I do England and I’m pretty cynical about the national team but I can’t imagine wanting another national team to do better than us.

Club loyalty and also premier league/champions league have in my opinion totally eroded the value of international football.

It used to be exciting to watch these 'exotic' foreign stars play every 4 years. Now every player basically plays or has plays in the prem or other blanket coverage league and brings about as much mystique as Katie Price

It's just players you watch every week jumbled up into teams you have no particular affinity to.

Goalkeeper privilege. It's never a foul when a keeper does it. It's always a foul to touch a goalkeeper.

If we're being honest it's kind of s necessary evil else goalkeepers spend half the season banned

You don't have an affinity to your own country?

Yeah, I get that. But if it's deemed dangerous play to throw yourself feet first, studs up towards an opponent it's pretty reductive to then allow certain players carte blanche to do so as they please.

Here is the really weird thing about twitter: If you search for "harry kane out for season" Guess what you are going to find?

Shall we try looking at "Harry Kane fit for the next match" (y)....I'll delete the original then and hope it's bollocks.

My sources tell me Harry Kane's injury is not as bad as first feared. He will miss the FA Cup game at Swansea & but will be back for Spurs' next Premier League game away at Chelsea on 31st March.
