Im sorry to criticise the prodigal son, but it IS pathetic of Kane, and Spurs, to go to that extent. Not good for team morale at all, despite eriksen saying he doesnt mind.

Now if it was Salah or Aguero doing this, i guarantee you we would all go crazy and criticise them.

Not good at all

What exactly is it that you think Kane, and Spurs, have done that you find so pathetic?

Frankly i'd be absolutely astounded if Eriksen gave a flying fuck about all this whatsoever. Not good for team morale? Did you see Dele crying after training today or something? Was Hugo looking a bit upset in Tesco? How on earth would you know if this has had any effect on team morale at all?

I agree. No wonder we become such a laughing stock. Will Kane now relinquish the goals that he scored that went off a defenders foot or goal keepers hands and now describe them as own goals? I think not, even when his (and the panel's) logic does dictate that they should. Pathetic and desperate comes to mind. He should have more confidence in his ability to maintain the golden boot without resorting to this

Thankfully goals just so happen to win games, therefore the more goals Kane scores, the more games Spurs win.

The goal was already fucking scored.... this is getting scrotum stupid now. Kane doesn’t get an extra point.

Mate this is it, not so long the masses rejoiced about playing with flair and glory and that’s all that mattered. Trophies didn’t matter.... all of a sudden the game is about who scored the goals, let’s keep switching the goal posts so we feel better.

This place was a much happier place when we were wanna be’s.

Gary Lineker has turned into a bit of a prick hasn't he?

Snidey remarks towards us becoming a recurring theme.

And he needs to have a word with himself, that CL add, where he's conducting the orchestra to the theme tune.

#Gay

He’s a Foxes fan, never really has he backed us tbh.

He doesn't.

But it might have, which can't just be denied without proof either. Is Eriksen not as driven as Kane? Is Kane's desire for the golden boot going to make him selfish? Son got pulled up for shooting instead of squaring it against Chelsea. We scored the rebound but Eriksen and Lamela pulled him out on it. What if Kane does the same and there is no rebound goal? Is he allowed to be hammered?

When Kane is on a hattrick he gets to complete the match. Son was on a hattrick vs Huddersfield and was taken off with more than twenty minutes to go and looked annoyed at it.

The players should be treated equally so appeasing Kane because he's Kane could lead to resentment.

Ultimately the point people are making is none of this should have happened because Spurs scored and Spurs won. The team > one individual.

Unless you're in the dressing room, how are you, or anyone else saying something similar, at all qualified to make that comment? You have absolutely no idea whether it's good for team morale or not.

In fact, on the actual evidence available, not just baseless supposition, it's the complete opposite. Eriksen said that he didn't mind if Kane claimed it, said he trusted him and said he would take the assist. He also said that there have been 'arguments' among the players about it. Now, judging by Eriksen's historical use of English and the context and tone in which it was said, personally I interpreted this as him saying that there has been some friendly, 'banter' arguments in the dressing room, nothing sinister.

Why are you just assuming that Eriksen is lying? That says a lot more about you than him or Kane.

it was Kane’s goal and anyone saying anything else is insulting HK and calling his impeccable integrity into question. Eriksen was annoying as well,( after the game) there’s no grey area it either touched him and is his goal or it didn’t and he’s a lying twat. So he’s one or the other. Salah and anyone else questioning him or the decision are basically calling him a liar . I find it insulting and is imagine Hk is furious. It’s not about the goal it’s about the truth.

I was more referring to the jibes about Kane clearly only caring about himself and goal records. Even if this is the case (it isn’t) then I’m all for it as if he scores lots of goals, we win more games.

Re the incident in question, anyone calling him pathetic just doesn’t understand the drive and determination that’s taken him from unfancied, clumsy teenager to the worlds best striker.

Fuck a duck, I keep seeing the line 'and people wonder why Spurs fans ...' trotted out, some of the people in this thread doing their level best to 'rise above'.

Good grief.
