didnt he smash in a chance in the UEFA at some point toward the end? His finishing looks fine to me, and his link play with Ade yesterday looked really good.
His only ever goal in Europe was a header against Shamrock rovers 2 -3 years ago.

Nailed one against the bar I think.

Watched 78 minutes of England U21's to see how Harry Kane looked when he came on, he swiftly got the ball, tried to run past 5 players with his not ever so blistering pace, got tackled by the second one, got injured and was subbed off. Brilliant.

Rather cunningly I checked to see what Spurs players were involved and when. I forwarded through to 79 minutes to see how Kane did in his 11 minutes or so, only to see him come on, try to dribble past 5 players with his not so blistering pace and slightly heavy touch, got tackled, injured and subbed off.

Saved myself 78 minutes of tedium though, so hey ho.

You may be thinking of Hull in League Cup ? Came on after 75 minutes scoring a goal and hitting the bar and could have had a pen inside the 90 minutes, did well inn extra time before putting away a good pen.

We are delighted to announce that Harry Kane has signed a new contract, committing his future to the Club until 2019.

The young striker, 21, made his First Team breakthrough in the second half of last season, scoring in three successive Premier League matches in April.

A product of our Academy system, Harry, born locally in Walthamstow, signed professional terms in 2010 and made his First Team debut aged just 18 in our Europa League play-off against Hearts in August, 2011.

He enjoyed loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City before his first full season in the First Team squad last term, when he made 19 appearances in all competitions.

Capped five times by England Under-21s, Harry scored a hat-trick for the Young Lions in a European Championship qualifier against San Marino last November.

I guess Pochettino sees potential in him then, good good!

I honestly don't believe he'll ever set the footballing world ablaze, and I don't think he's regular material for a top 4-6 side, but I do think he's good enough for a squad place and to see some game time and I would much rather see us give that to someone like Kane who we have developed, than pay 8m + 3m pa wages to some average journeyman.

I was digging him out 18 months ago "championship player" and all that bollox.

I must say he's won me round, 100%.

He's never going to be the fastest player in the world (which is the reason why I, and perhaps others, have slated him) but I think he's really improved other areas of his game and I'm really pleased we've tied him down.

Didn't Poch want him at Southampton in Jan? If so I'm interested to see what role he plays during the season.

IMO he has good ball control, reads the game well, can hold up the ball and bring others into play. If he could add an extra yard of pace he'd be a top striker. I think some people forget how young the kid is.

Plus, he loves the chicken badge. Well done Kane, my son.

I'm going to go full hipster as I have always rated him and will continue to do so. Can have a very successful PL career IMO.

Amusing to think if he sees out that contract he'll be one year away from his testimonial.

I rate the lad, great so see him stepping up.

I wonder what odds you'd get on Kane being our top goal scorer next season?

I wouldn't lump on but might be worth a few quid.
