I like that there is a partnership starting to form between Kane and bobby, in the first 25 minutes against Everton is wasn't there but afterwards it was, they knew where each other would be and we're trying play each other through.

I know this may be a ridiculous statement but Kane shows glimpses of Thomas Muller. Obviously nowhere near as good but shows signs of being a similar player.

Well the people writing him off after only a handfull of games a couple of years ago must have an awful lot of egg on their faces.

They've just switched to now saying Mason/Bentaleb/Townsend/Carroll (delete as appropriate) will never make it. Some spurs 'fans' are never happier than when they get to write off a kid as not being good enough (so we can spunk £30m on a player and they can live out their FM fantasies).

It's incredibly promising that it appears he's a huge part of Poch's plans.
It is hard to say.
After all, the fans pretty much forced his hand on picking Kane.

Kane looks at his best playing as one of a pair, and we know this is not MP's preference.
Lamela was sacrificed yesterday to accommodate this formation, and that is unlikely to be a regular choice for MP.
Kane is definitely one of our own. Lamela and MP, I'm not so sure about...

Eh? I very much doubt that mate. Give both MP and HK their respective and deserved praise.

The former for picking HK ahead of Ade and the latter for stepping up so impressively.

The thing I continually forget with Harry is just how young he is. I seem to remember his name being mentioned many a time and yet he is still only 21 and has a huge great career ahead of him......

Hoping he can be our very own home-grown equivalent of Teddy Sheringham.

TC will not make it with us. Yes I've said it again

Kane just gets better and better and Bentalebs improvement from his great potential has been great to see. TC hasn't improved in 18months....

This is where i think we (and many other clubs) really let themselves down as "supporters"

Why wouldn't you back and support a young player who's come up through the ranks? who has an affinity with the club? - ok there will be games where they're outclassed, there will be games where they struggle but these are young players learning their trade in a difficult league against some top opposition.

I for one would always rather offer support for a player who is still learning than to have a player who should know better letting themselves down.

Did Kane realise that Soldado went off? I only ask because he wasn't acting as if he was aware that he was the only striker on the field. Why was he drifting into Eriksen's position on the left wing? And while he was in Eriksen's position, Eriksen sat behind him. Quite a bizzare end to the game for Kane; my grandmother would've looked more likely to score in those final minutes. And she's dead mate.

Lotsof people earlier in this thread saying he was hopeless and Championship quality....the eviedence is there for all to see :D
I think a large part of it is because of his build. People looked at him and expected a big classic CF, and then saw him as rubbish because he didn't display those traits. He's never been that kind of player though. He relies far more on positional awareness and technique than brute force. I've said before, the lad is the closest thing I've seen to Teddy Sheringham since Teddy Sheringham.

I think Paulinho was expected to play further up as a bullish spearhead. But he's thick, so didn't.

"The Premier League tracking data emphasised the point. Kane covered more than 13 kilometres for his team in their 2-1 win over Everton on Super Sunday, the most by a Spurs player this year and more than all but two Premier League players have managed all season."

Very happy for Kane and very proud and pleased by what our academy produce.

Hopefully this will lead to us stop buying 5 players every summer and instead focus our funds on some real talent since our academy is more than able to produce enough quality to fill the numbers.

Paulinho for 17m, Dembele for 15m, Capoue for 6m and Stambouli for 7m all get left out of the squad or benched to make room for Bentaleb and Mason.

It wont suprise me one bit if Carroll or Winks are in the mix for a CM spot next season either.

Put our funds toward some star player than Poch really want instead of buying more mediocreity just cause the price is right, our academy is starting to produce enough talent.

He's doing well. There are times when - like everyone in our team, it's a culture that has to change - there are times when hes got himself into a good position, but the right thing to do is pass and he chooses not to. He's not as guilty as some (Lamela being a pretty bad culprit) but he's improving all the time and looks like he could be a good player
On the flip side, every striker needs to have a certain element of selfishness to their play.

Probably to make himself more available for an out-ball to relieve pressure. Not much point standing around competing with two big cb's for a hoof up field

He didn't score yesterday but I felt like he finally arrived at the Premier League level. To have that confidence to chase down and to run at as good a team as Everton shows where he's at with his mindset.
