Who were the 2 players who had covered more ground?
George Boyd and Gylfi Sigurdsson it seems.

He didn't score yesterday but I felt like he finally arrived at the Premier League level. To have that confidence to chase down and to run at as good a team as Everton shows where he's at with his mindset.

why a hoof up field necessarily? Not much point standing around competing with two big cb's for a hoof up field
Why? I didn't hear a cacophony of voices saying he was a sure thing, natural born PL predator.Well the people writing him off after only a handfull of games a couple of years ago must have an awful lot of egg on their faces.
For it's very simple. Kane is a striker. Paulinho is a midfielder. So why would a midfielder be expected to player higher than a lone striker? "Bullish Spearhead" you say? That's Kane, no?I think Paulinho was expected to play further up as a bullish spearhead. But he's thick, so didn't.

He hadn't filled out, there was no way of knowing if he would gain the power that is now enabling him to hold off defenders whilst running and competing for the ball. All you can do is best judge a player based on what you have available.
This is where i think we (and many other clubs) really let themselves down as "supporters"
Why wouldn't you back and support a young player who's come up through the ranks? who has an affinity with the club? - ok there will be games where they're outclassed, there will be games where they struggle but these are young players learning their trade in a difficult league against some top opposition.
I for one would always rather offer support for a player who is still learning than to have a player who should know better letting themselves down.
Obviously making absolute statements when someone is so young is foolish. I personally didn't think he'd be regular first-teamer for us, from what I saw early on. He didn't seem to have natural physical gifts and looked nervy with his finishing for me. Very glad, he's kept working hard, and he's filled out nicely.Sure, but plenty of people were stating that he would never make it, which is obviously horseshit.

TC will not make it with us. Yes I've said it again
Kane just gets better and better and Bentalebs improvement from his great potential has been great to see. TC hasn't improved in 18months....
The guys behind me hate Kane with a passion - it's beyond belief!
But then they hated Keane and Berbatov so they have form!

Well then he should at least have been central and looking to go forward, maybe just not right in the box. He was unrecognisable as a striker, it was quite funny to watch. Otherwise good game from him.Well if you win the ball on the edge of your own box and are getting closed down hard in the dying minutes of the game it's the only option unless an out-ball is on. Unless of course you are from the Chiriches school of defending that is anyway
Did Kane realise that Soldado went off? I only ask because he wasn't acting as if he was aware that he was the only striker on the field. Why was he drifting into Eriksen's position on the left wing? And while he was in Eriksen's position, Eriksen sat behind him. Quite a bizzare end to the game for Kane; my grandmother would've looked more likely to score in those final minutes. And she's dead mate.
Agree with you 10%, just look at the post one above from yours *sigh*
