Week of the Monaco game i think he should be given 3 days off. Tuesday, Weds, Thursday. Told to go to Somewhere warm and put his feet up for a few days.

Sonny playing up top against Monaco.

Jamie Carragher:

That's a bit like saying Jack Wilshere's a better player than Mousa Dembele, when he's fit! It's an oxy-feckin-moron!

.. and he's wrong anyway
I agree with Carragher. When fit, only Aguero is better than Sturridge. I'd have Kane third. Luckily for us we have the one with the good injury record, fingers crossed.

I would have Kane as third best striker in the league behind Aguero and Sturridge as well. Sturridge is incredible when fit, but that is hardly ever. Has similar attributes to Kane mentally as he has a similar knack for finding space and drifting into gaps to create his own chances. But he is better than Kane with the ball and also his pace is a huge plus.

Still glad we have Kane though.

PS. Sturridge is a really cool guy, met him last summer. Told me his biggest hope is to lead England to a World Cup win. Would love to see a Kane-Sturridge strike force for England and Welbeck and Rooney to clean their boots.

I noticed today that Harry Kane has a Christmas album out, I took a picture if you don't believe me. I don't know why he's used a different name though?

Sturridge WAS incredible when fit. No idea what he's like now. And when fit was only ever as good as Kane last season.

In another season or two it will be no contest, Kane will win it hands down.

Pretty close now if Sturridge is fit, but he hardly ever is.

who can say what will be in two years but in my view a fit Sturridge is more of a goal threat than Kane by some distance.. I would say he is harder to mark because he is quicker, has more individual skill and is also more clinical in my view. However Kane probably has a better all-round game dropping deep and linking play and is better in the air. Look at the quality of Strikers Liverpool have and Sturridge is easily the best of them..

Means fuck all if he's barely fit.

Anyway, I'd still have Kane regardless.

Nice to hear what Danby Murphy said about Kane

Former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy believes that Kane will never leave the North London outfit and has told talkSPORT: “I don’t think Harry Kane will be going anywhere… ever.

“If Spurs keep progressing, he could the player they build the team around. They could break the wage structure for him.

“If they sell Harry Kane in the next couple of years, could you imagine the uproar? He’s one of their own, and Tottenham have not sold a player like him.”
