I hate him going off with England. They better treat him with care.

Southgate wants to get his 'feel' of kane scoring

All the more impressive when you consider that Aguero has played in a side that has one four titles, and Shearer that won the one and both his clubs were regularly second or third.

Also more impressive when shearer was scoring regularly before the premier league was created and also aguero scoring regularly in La Liga so neither were new to top-flight football like Kane was.

City v Liverpool on Sky at mo. Salah backs into city defender to win a free kick.

Tyler: Good work from Salah there to draw the foul.

Double o. the difference between the players that you mention and Sol is that they made it clear they would leave at the end of their contract .Whereas Cambell said time after time " I will sign a new contract in the summer " or and this is the killer " I love it in London and will not leave London " not mentioning that he was cosying up to Arsenal . If Sol Campbell had been straight with the club they could have signed one of several centre halves that were available I remember for instance Southgate and Ehiogu . But because he was lying all along no moves were made for any of the available centre halves if he had been fair and straight he would not be getting all the dislike and hate from spurs fans . So we started behind the eight ball that season and to say he did no wrong is in fact wrong .

Not really. Spurs have been a top side throughout Harry’s career and top sides score a lot of goals, whether or not they take home the trophies. He’s never lacked for on-field support.

I think we'd be getting the best out of him playing as the pivot behind a striker. He'd still bang in just as many goals, but would have more than just Son to pass to, which is especially useful when Son is being shut down by the opposition.

His passing is that good, and should be utilized to the fullest extent.

Good for you, but I vehemently disagree. Harry’s not played in any side as good as most incarnations of City while Aguero has been there apart from the only two seasons we’ve finished above them since Harry broke through, and certainly never boasting as much attacking intent or creativity.

Then there’s Shearer, who between 92/93 and 97/98 played for the side that finished 4th, 2nd, 1st, 7th, 2nd, 2nd. In Harry’s 6 seasons as first choice before this we’ve finished above 4th three times, or above 3rd once, or never above 2nd. Yes, much like Harry for us, Shearer was a big part of why his sides did so well, and my argument is sadly based on subjective opinion, but given that Shearer was in sides that over the same sample size performed tangibly better than we have in Harry’s time, I think it’s fair to say that this makes Harry’s achievement all the more remarkable. I’m not overly sure what you achieve but denigrating that to be honest.

It’s not as if I said Harry’s achievement was more impressive than theirs, I didn’t, that would be factually incorrect for a start given that they hit 150 faster than he has, all I said was that I find his achievement even more impressive than just being the third quickest given that the only two players quicker than him did so for tangible better, more successful sides.

You’re probably right. ?

Not better than Aubameyang...
We should sell him...
Won't score goal in a Mourinho team...

Etc...

You'd have thought by now after 6 years of watching this guy play that people would learn not to write him off but alas...

Can't wait until the next dip in form when people will start to say he's finished.

Would be keen to know how quickly Aguero and Shearer hit 150 top flight league goals as opposed to PL goals. Both were established strikers by then, whereas we’re counting Kane from breakthrough.

Perfect player, if he could add one skill it would only be luck with injuries, ok and ability to score from free kicks. His name will show up in pub quizes 50 years from now, we are lucky to have him. If he stays healthy we make top 4 100%.

Shearer's was around 275 games, I don't know it exactly as I'm basing it off Wikipedia and he scored his 150th in a 25 goal season, the 150th being the 15th of that season, so I've just used the ratio of the goals to game from that season to provide a rough guess.

Aguero got to 149 in 316 games so let's say 317 to 150. Neither are anywhere near Harry.
