Credit to Harry buying into the new game plan and tactics. Jose must be in love with the way he leads the team attacking and defending.

Latest angle is that he's 'trying to injure people' when he backs in. As if strikers haven't done that regularly for literally ever

I may take some stick for this but if you're a Spurs fan you don't want Kane getting bans or being targeted by refs. If you're a football fan you don't want to see players get seriously hurt, no matter who they play for. I don't think the incident people are talking about today is relevant, I think both players were going for the ball. In other games this season though I have seen Kane trying to win a freekick by deliberately backing into players who are making a genuine attempt at getting the ball, and taking their legs out while they're in the air. It is fucking dangerous, it's a huge no-no in violent contact sports like Rugby or AFL for a reason.

If he keeps doing it he'll start getting picked on by refs when he's genuinely innocent or has been fouled himself. Or worse someone will get really badly hurt.

Other fans and pundits are starting to pick up on it and make it a talking point. He needs to be an intelligent **** and not give them any ammo for a while.

And Kane's done it with Tottenham in the Premier League. No doubt if he had been playing in La Liga for Barcelona he'd have scored even more.

INSANE stat.

Bit of an aside but Harry was magnificent in defence at corners and free kicks. He uses his head a heck of a lot when helping out in defence should we be worried for him as he gets older ? Some really sad stories about older players suffering brain problems supposedly connected to heading the ball so much.

The amazing thing is I cant remember any of his 10 assists this season being "routine". You know, like a 5 yard pass and then the receiver, usually Son, having to do all the work. His assists are usually incredibly quick-thinking pinpoint perfectly weighted passes, even the one yesterday. The only slightly different assist was the header to Son against Burnley, but even that was smart as he knew he couldn't score himself.

Incredible player.

I don't know why we'd be any more worried about him than Toby, Dier, Tanganga, Rodon etc. They're the players who are going to be heading away 50-60 yard balls, and balls blasted at them from close range. By defending corners/free-kicks, Harry will usually only ever be heading away floated or whipped balls.

But you've also got to remember that those older players were heading a ball that weighed a tonne and needed steel toe caps just to kick properly, not like the plastic ones today.

Whilst I can understand the worry regarding heading the ball, unlike in Jeff Astle’s day, the ball isn’t sodden leather and weighing as much nowadays. In my days of playing we had the lace up as well. Bloody hurt when your forehead hit that on a muddy Sunday morning on Hackney or Tottenham marshes.

For the heading debate its not the weight of the ball causing the damage although I am sure it played a major part, its the repeated action that causes the damage later on in life.

They just said on sky that only Messi has ever got to 250 goals in fewer games. That’s nuts.

Big agenda on Kane’s ‘backing in’ on SportBible at the moment. The writer of the piece is very blatantly not a Spurs fan....

A ‘referee’s support’ account on Twitter with a few thousand followers have waded in and SportBible have picked up on it, along with a collage of Kane doing it ‘time and time again’ though only giving 3 examples....

Weird that the Brighton one was seen by the ref and VAR officials and they ALL agreed it was a foul on Kane. We know he’s being streetwise but also, players shouldn’t go flying in towards him with their knees in the air!

The refsupport account has compared his antics to that of Jack Grealish’s socks.....

I can’t copy and paste the SportBible piece over but the writer talks about how he got away with another dangerous foul yesterday and that he’s ‘yet to be punished for his antics...’.

It shouldn’t really bother me but I actually feel for Kane. He’s very obviously a good, decent human being and far more of a role model than most other footballers. Haters gonna hate and it’s the only thing they can try and bring him down with at mo.
