Doing what?

Get close to the defender, keep an eye on him, wait for him to jump, back into him when he's in the air, as the defender loses balance go to ground yourself.

You have to do it all in a split second, so it takes some practice.

I think it's a pretty good move from Kane tbh (y)

Compilation. Fuck me. Its 24 seconds long and it's a combination of 3 clips. I actually only think hes done something wrong in the Cresswell one as hes really bent over for the contact and Cresswell isnt really running to the ball.

With the others both Gabriel and Lallana are coming steaming in. If Kane jumps theres likely a head collision and potential concussions for both.

Also, people who are saying you cant do this sort of thing in NFL or Rugby, this if football, neither of those games are relevant whatsoever.

As for the Korean fella, that is not what is happening with Kane at all, the bloke comes at him from behind.

Wind your fucking necks in, some of you sound like SalahSzn, ManeMadness and AubaStarz on Twitter.

Agree, re. the small sample size of clips.

I'd like to see the clips of all the other strikers in the league doing the same thing.

And also when Kane, or other strikers get penalised for it, which I think happens quite often.

This is all coming out now a week before we play Liverpool, it's not by chance that these "compliations" are being driven by their fans.

Why does the defender think he has the right to jump on Harry's head? You really think the referees can't tell if it's a push from Harry?

This what it's all about? The thick English referees can't understand what's happening before their eyes?

It's obvious that it's coming from all the usual places that had previous agendas against Kane:
- he's a one season wonder
- he breathes through his mouth
- he stole a goal from Eriksen
- he's finished

Now that he has the best season of his career, they have to find something new.

Yet, I do think that his move is dangerous and it might one day end badly.

I remember in the Polish league there was an incident when a player landed awkwardly on his neck and did something to his cervical spine. He had to end his career.

And even here, there's a caveat to that. It's the same thing as having a raised elbow when jumping to head the ball. It's against the rules and might be rewarded with a red card, but all the players do it still.

Because it helps them get to a better position and if they don't do it, the other guy will certainly do it and gain an advantage.

All the players try to make a header as much uncomfortable for the opponent as they possibly can. Kane throws them out of balance. And it might end badly one day. Just like an elbow to your head might.

He is running towards the ball then sometimes he just stops there and other times he is kind of doing that butt thing where he kind of crouches into the player... i dont think it is standing his ground as such. It is my view as I say and happy to disagree with what seems to be the majority.

I just fear that one day someone is going to land bloody awkwardly and serious damage could be done. The majority may think - oh well accidents happen, but I guess I see it differently.
All I know is that if someone is jumping at me out of control with their knees at my shoulder level, my choice is between them getting hurt or me, I’m choosing them every time without fail.

Don’t see the difference between Gabriel’s/Lallana’s jumps and a studs up tackle from meters away.

Was just about to say, what about all the blatant pushes, kicks etc he receives week in week out, no worse than Xaka’s blatant block on him on Sunday which, if I recall correctly, didn’t even warrant a booking in the refs eyes?

Mate, you really are getting worked up here. Just so you know there is no agenda against Harry. None.
Some of your insults have been baffling. And calling on Mods to ban people. Give over.

Go and have a few beers, and watch you tube videos of quokka's. You will like them. They are very happy.

Kinda hard when people keep posting videos made by Liverpool fans of Kane doing what world class strikers have done for decades ....

You don't get points for calling out one of the worlds best players for doing something that those ****s over on the Liverpool (anywhere else really) boards would celebrate if he were their player.

Ok well lets try this then.........

Much better and happy. Harry Kane is the best player in the Premier League. I believe that fully. Enough of it now. I'm not here to create division ok.

Don't really care, I only think it's genuinely funny that you have hordes of people commenting "the only reason no one talks about this is because it's Kane", when the only reason anyone is caring is because it's Kane.

It's not like "scouseFirmino" rages against Ashley Barnes and all the shit he does. Because Ashley Barnes is irrelevant.

This has always happened. Backing in has always been a thing. Why people are getting so hung up on it now is beyond me.

if you rewatch every game from the weekend I’m sure you’ll see this happen countless times in every game.

I genuinely don’t know what the people bashing Kane think he should be doing otherwise? Is he meant to just move out of the way and let his opponent win the ball?

He drops his shoulders as he braces for impact, and why. It when there’s someone flying through the air toward him?

The primary source of outrage is reddit and twitter. You only need 2 minutes to realise the vast majority of those posting on the topic have watched the sport for less than a few years and have not played the sport whatsoever. They didn't help their cause by bringing up sport x,y and z to jusify their outrage.

He can kick opposition player cohones twice a game and I wouldn't care less. I think opposition fans are just desperately looking for something against Kane. Because he is class player and great human they are left with such a stupid things as that...

If Salah or Mane was doing it they'd be labelling it 'intelligent' play.

Isn't this quite easy:

- If you get in the situation and stand still, get jumped on - You have done nothing wrong.

- If you are moving into the guy who is jumping it is dangerous play and freekick.

Kane definitely did the first vs Brighton. Not seen the second in replay.

Mine and some others concern is this new trick that is being used by players of looking like they will compete in the air for the ball and then not, causing the player going for the ball to have their legs taken out. The Gomes - Woods one was terrible.
Haha you think this is new?
It's been going on for decades...it's only a big deal now because Harry Kane has fucking mastered it, and he's probably the highest profile player in the league right now, and we're top of the league.
What's not a surprise to me is our rivals fans crying about it, that's what they do, they find a stick and they beat Harry Kane with it.
What is a surprise is some of our own fans being sucked into it.

Guess what? very soon they'll get bored with this stick, and find a new stick.
Rinse and repeat.

No, if you run into a guy who is jumping stationary then maybe.

If you are competing for the ball, either stationary or moving into unclaimed possession, the guy doing it in an uncontrolled manner is being dangerous.

Uncontrolled being the salmon leap in the air.

I swear some people must never have seen a target man bring the ball down on his chest. This whole time a defender could have just jumped over the top of him and claimed a "foul".

Well said....and as far as what ‘may’ happen we might as well play every game as a penalty shoot out that way there’s no contact and no one gets injured... and the better Kane gets the more hatred there is out there...I for one love it, we’re getting better and the oppo don’t like it....well boohoo, long may it continue
