CK is his brother Charlie Kane
That was what I was getting at when linking to the website, it's obviously family.

Which, although family can be greedy, hardly screams Mino Raiola levels of pushing for a move to make the money.

The problem is Coutinho wasnt imperative to Liverpool's attack. In fact, I think he complicated it.

Liverpool then signed two huge players for massive fees to significantly improve other areas.

A few years prior to that, Liverpool sold Suarez and tried to bring in reinforcements to replace him. They couldn't do it.

It only works for us if we go and sign a player like Grealish and players that can genuninely contribute for goals now.

Unfortunately, the club are more likely to spread it across the squad on players who have 'potential' and aren't already a success elsewhere.
Does he?

Bale had to go on strike and Real had to pay a record fee - even more for PL sides. Modric had to wait another season etc People have criticised the club recently for not selling players at their peak, but you can bet that if Kane is allowed to leave, it will be for huge money that'll be put right back into the squad.

Teams tend to eventually let players leave - it's just a good idea to do a Liverpool (post Coutinho) and not a Barca (post Neymar) or a Bale ('Baldini window')

Good luck to him whatever he decides. He has been Spurs through and through on the pitch where it matters for years and years. He's shown far more ambition re winning than our chairman!
So he’s off somewhere else to earn big bucks, with the long term goal of coming back and buying out Levy...

Well now we all know what's gonna happen
Levy and Enic will cash in some big money from the sale for Kane
And because they keep Mason as the manager they know they don't need to buy any players to cover

Win-win for Levy and Enic

It's not that deep.

With Kane we'll be 4th-7th and without him we'll be 3rd-8th.

In the end, the floor is similar regardless. But the ceiling is higher with his fee spent elsewhere.

It's an absolute travesty the club has been run in a way that Kane becomes a luxury player in just two seasons. But hey ho.

I suspect for most of us (including me) it’s more about the fucking sadness of losing a brilliant home grown player who would’ve become the club’s greatest goal scorer and should‘ve won stuff with us.

Has this thread really exploded tonight off the back of a quoteless and unsubstantiated report from the very station this entire site, almost in unison, routinely accuses of having an agenda against us and of talking out of their arse with no reference to facts?

Get a grip you lot. Unless Kane or his agent outright confirms it, it’s almost definitely just a stab in the dark based on what they feel will generate the most attention.

I get it. Kane leaving has been most spurs fans biggest fear for recent years so seeing this is like a realisation of these fears.

No, not to cause a shitstorm on SC, to get attention and viewership.

To deny a rumour is to dignify it.

The huge mansion in Herts and Scrooge McDuck style pool filled with money suggests he’s got a fair bit back.
So you're saying, you genuinely believe Sky would knowingly fabricate a story, themselves, for viewership?

No it isn't because this club has shown us time and time again that they cannot get the recruitment right. They'll likely replace him with Ings because he has a year left and Levy senses opportunity rather than looking into the future properly.

Yeah same. That's what I was trying to get at with the last line.

Potentially higher before a dime is spent. You're right that once he's gone we'll fuck it all away on Bentaleb regens and a cheeky bid for Falcao. But still, there's a hypothetically higher ceiling but not really a corresponding plunge down to lower mid table.

Kane's agent is his brother (and his dad). This smacks of a leak to the place where *they think* it will get the most attention. The fact that the club has been so quick to issue a statement also tells me it has got legs. Doesn't mean he'll go, of course.

Wow

It’s like the 5 stages of grief in here. We have not moved on to convincing ourselves we’ll be better off without him

The silver lining in all of this is that we will know pretty early if Kane is off or not.

If Spurs buy any players this summer, Kane is off.
