Listening to the Fighting Cock, Flav said during his work with Sky that they’ve got an interview Kane’s done with Gary Neville that’ll be released on the 26th that he was told would be uncomfortable for Spurs fans. This is probably where Sky got their break from yesterday and where Kane’s gonna publicly break cover.
Or maybe Kane’s going to present Gary Neville as our new manager, now that would make me uncomfortable.

I wouldn't get hung up on sky being the ones reporting it when the telegraph, the times, the guardian were all sent the story at the same time. It was clearly a leak from Kane's entourage even if he hasn't directly spoke to Spurs. The reports from our reliable journalists saying the club is furious with the timing makes it very clear they know the story came from a decent source within Kane's camp.

if he doesn’t go this summer, this whole rucking situation has still fucked us up because other clubs will think he is going and inflate the prices of any transfer targets we have in mind - thinking we’re trying to be sly and spend the money before it arrives a la Bale summer.

Football has changed, for prem clubs in particular., who can afford to hold onto their star assets, look at Zaha, Grealish etc.. kane has 3 years to run on his contract, and Spurs aren't desperate to sell.

When Spurs started to bridge the gap on the old top 4 cartel, we sold the likes of Modric and Bale before they hit their peak abroad, and not to any of the old cartel to strengthen their dominance and guaranteed grip of yearly champs league, and that tactic along with lucking out with Poch brought us to the table.

Man Utd have benefitted the most this season, from stability, but they are not miles away from us, better tactics along with squad management would of had us competing, why would Spurs entertain the idea to sell them Kane?

Chelsea we don't do business with.

City don't spend circa.£150m-£200m on players, and if they did, there's younger options in Mbappe and Harlaand out there.

Madrid & Barca are both skint and in need of major rebuilds

PSG could stump up, but would Kane want to ho there.

Levy and the board have an opportunity to right some of the wrongs, by showing ambition and investing in the likes of grealish, sabitzer, Ings, Anderson etc for the club to challenge now while we've got peak Kane, and peak Son.
These guys lead from the front, and do their talking on the field, that would show ambition and lift players, fans, sponsors.

Sky and talksport can carry on spouting their Kane to leave rhetoric flannel, but looking at it calmly there ain't any options barr City changing their transfer stance.

Onus is on Levy and the board now, to play their hand on their direction and vision for the club.

I bet Levy’s head is spinning. Bet he absolutely cannot understand what’s happened in the last 18 months.

Built a new stadium - suddenly hundreds of millions in debt due to global pandemic.

Hired Jose and spent some money for once buying almost everyone Jose wanted, absolutely convinced this was going to win stuff - turns out Jose’s past it and completely failed.

Convinced Kane et al he was hiring the best manager in the world to secure his loyalty - ends up sacking him before a cup final to save a few quid.

I expect Levy thinks he’s done everything right and just thinks he’s been unlucky.

If hypothetically Kane wanted to make a move, who are the main clubs who would target him? Let's game this out...

Man City: Aguero is leaving and they might feel the need to replace him, but is Kane someone who fits into their tiki-taka style of play when they often play without a stereotypical number 9? Spurs won't be willing to sell for anything that doesn't come close to a world record fee, and for all the money that City have their MO has been to pay up to 60M for quality (but not galactico) players.

Man Utd: probably the best fit of a team for Kane and a massive club brand around the world that would further lift Kane's image. But they arguably have decent attacking talent in the team with Rashford, Greenwood, Fernandes and have just signed up Cavani for another season. Going to Utd right now does not guarantee big silverware - they are still a distance away from winning the league - and does Kane really want to play under Ole?

It's still, on balance, most likely that he'll be with us for another season - but on the two assessments quoted above I disagree slightly.

Man City: Kane isn't a stereotypical nymber 9, I have no doubt that he would be able to fit into their side very well. His assist numbers this season show that he's much more than just goals, and De Bruyne is getting on as well. It's not been their MO to spend the kind of money it would take so far. But this is an opportunity they've not had before in terms of an England star. If Southgate lines up with a front three of Foden-Kane-Sterling it will give them a glimpse of how it might work. Plus, reports suggest they've been sniffing around since last summer and they would have known throughout that he wouldn't be cheap. If he does go, this is his most likely destination in my opinion.

Man Utd: The only thing I would say is that if you're Kane you would likely back yourself to be the player that takes them from 2nd to 1st, especially with Fernandes creativity to supply you and the pace of Rashford and Greenwood to play in on either side. Less likely for me, but not out of the question. There's also the fact that by being willing to buy him in the first place they'd be showing the kind of ambition to progress further that we've failed to show.

Largely agree on the rest, I just don't see them having the money it would take to get him this summer. I think it will be City or no-one personally.

I wish I could give him a pep talk and tell him about the time I failed my GCSEs.

It worries me that I agree with you that he would genuinely think he's done everything right.

I dont know what their finances are like but I actually thought Bayern Munich were a good shout.

Talk of Lewandowski being ready to leave this summer so they'd have a hole to fill and Kane would be a good fit there. I'd be happy with him going to Germany if Bayern have the money to sign him.

Can’t see them spending the kind of money it would take to get Kane on a player.

The club are only furious it’s been leaked as Levy has probably promised the new manager Kane is sticking around - this leak has come before the new man has signed his contract and now puts a spanner in that as well ??

I joke of course ........ although when reading it back it doesn’t seem that far from the truth

Nothing pisses me off more though than the twats like Neville desperately trying to sell Kane to the likes of City when only last month they were complaining how money was ruining football and the ESL was going to ruin competition in football. Hypocritical pricks.

hate Neville with a passion, believes his own hype of “man of the people”. His narrative of ESL was one of “ I’m here for the fans”. Never once heard him say shit when his UTD were tapping up players or benefiting From the money of the Prem. Never heard him cry out for his club to help Bolton Wigan etc. Self obsessed cock who thinks football revolves around UTD.
I hope Levy just offers Kane to the European heavy hitters...

Why would they wait until the 26th when the season has finished? Reminds of reading on here about the Daily Mail story that was about to be released regarding Modric to Chelsea.

There's little doubt that someone close to Kane has spoken to one or more journalists.

But that doesn't mean that what Sky et al are reporting accurately reflects the situation. ITK and BBC, neither of which have a commercial need to sensationalise a story, paint a rather different picture.

Hopefully the fans will spend most of the time chanting for Levy to fuck off too.
Unfortunately that will be the case and that might cause the atmosphere to go even more rancid.
Spurs to lose the game fan's get more bitter rinse and repeat you can see it coming not nice but much of it self evident and inflicted.

His value won't necessarily be lower next summer. Sure, he will be a year older and have one year less on his contract. But, on the flip side and all being well with life returning to normal, clubs will have more to spend. The market will be much more bullish.
I posted this above - but the record signing for anyone 29+ is £88m - Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus - the only player 29+ in the top-10 highest transfers.

If Levy can get £120m+ this summer - he should jump.

But, I don't think the market for Kane will be as high as everyone seems to assume. Kane is a great player, but its not a long-term buy for a club, and he has in injury history.

I feel like I am saying this almost weekly. But this summer is by far the biggest I can remember at our club (maybe any club) for the chairman.

New manager
Star player wants to move on
Need to move on a number of other players
Need to improve squad with no money
Massive disconnection with fan base
Financial implications of COVID and uncertainty of when it will end

This is an enormous task, I just hope Levy doesn't gamble by appointing the wrong manager in the hope they can win something with our current squad. We have to rebuild, I worry about Levy being willing to do it, I know people have mentioned we can spend the Kane money now and sell him next season if it doesn't work out. That seems like a very big gamble for someone as cautious as Levy.
We need a massive gamble to win anything. And ENIC needs a massive gamble to sell at what they would want. The value of the club is tanking by the minute. With the amount of debt they’ve saddled us, the extreme disconnect and toxicity between club, trust & fans, the best striker in the world who is an academy product wanting to leave like yesterday. Stadium & training ground can only do so much. And what good are they when the team is stuck in the doldrums? Our value is taking a nosedive at the moment. And that is all on Levy.

Guys has there been any ITK from someone worth listening to? Am not gonna read 79 pages ?

Trix, Herc and JJ have all pooh poohed him being sold this summer.

Herc has pooh poohed there being a gentleman’s agreement with Levy.

Dragon has confirmed Kane is frustrated, but pooh poohed him asking to leave, as has Ally Gold.
