Kane has not asked to move but made it clear to the club that he want's ambition, this means he would have known of other clubs interest in him. I don't blame him, we want trophies , why shouldn't he?

Personally if I was chairman he goes over my dead body for two major reasons, 1) finding a great goal scorer is very hard and would cost most of the Kane money 2) it sends out a message we are also rans with no ambition.

The irony is that he wants us to show ambition. Well, showing ambition is outright refusing to sell him for at least another year, and then only for an obscene fee.

Neymar completed his move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a staggering fee of €222 million in the summer of 2017
I think that for Premier club it looks reasonable + % inflation. :)
We don't have to sell . :)

I don't think Daniel Levy or Joe Lewis are tigers that will change their stripes. For me that means I don't think they will change their two decade old way of running the club an suddenly take the handbrake and input rehe cash needed to show Harry the ambition that he will want to see - I just done;t see it after a year where our cash cow stadium has not been used and we have lost revenue.
Other point is that gentleman's agreement or not I can't see a club having 150-200 mil to spend on him.
Ergo we stay where we are and little changes.

Have a feeling "show ambition" to Harry means a big name manager and some expensive signings. Dont think he's going to get that.

Did a quick search on his name and couldn't see anything new, but Norman Giller tweeted last night that the leak came from Kane's brother Charlie. He also seems convinced Harry will be off this summer.

I know he's had info in the past from his journalist days, so not a WUM, but still pinch of salt and all that.

A bit tired of all this, I thought Kane said he was not going to make any decision until after the Euro’s, I am a bit disappointed to be honest.

It feels like the end of the line in many ways. Not just for Harry, but for the model we've been attempting to build for the last 7-8 years.

If H goes this summer, we need to set the rest of the club on fire too and have that 'painful rebuild'.

The dependency we had on Bale pre Madrid is what we have placed on the shoulders of Kane.
Whatever happens he has done enough for us and wish he gets what he wants. I also don't see him fucking us over like C@#% Campbell!

The thought of Harry teaming up with De Bruyne is terrifying but also would be so good to watch aswell ?

By "Kane is approaching 29" do you mean that he is 27?
well, he is approaching 29 as well. also approaching 40.
If Kane leaves and it's a big if, I lay the blame 100% with Mourinho

Last year Mourinho failed to maintain top 4 but we suffered badly with injuries (including Kane's) so he could be excused blame. However this season with a much improved squad Mourinho has achieved less with the team than the sum of the parts. Precisely the reverse of what a good manager should produce. The fact we have failed to achieve top 4 by such a small margin makes our failure even more frustrating. I believe Kane put his faith in Mourinho this season given his track record and has been let down by poor tactics and team selection as the season fell away steeply.

I can understand Kane's frustration but the cause was avoidable, should not have happened and had we been managed by any of the current top 5 managers would not have happened
Im no JoMo fan, but I see the failure to add players for 18 months as the real culprit. All of the progress Poch made was undone. Kane will leave, we will spend the money and if we're lucky we'll get back to where we were with Poch in a few years - top 4 finishes and the odd cup final. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Absolute bollocks! We wasn’t even in the top 4 when mourinho arrived and was scrapping it out in 14th place. Levy tried to find a quick fix by hiring Jose but it was all clear for us to see that we had a few rotten apples in the squad. Jose couldn’t get a tune out of them either. It was clear to see that the team was deteriorating and we didn’t strengthen in the positions that needed strengthening most. Levy is to blame. Levy’s quick fix failed and now we are losing one of our greatest ever players because of it. Jose was a stop gap that failed.

There is no doubt that Kane was happy to be working with Jose and believed that he would finally deliver the silverware he craves at Spurs, so it does make the decision to fire Mourinho a week before the cup final all the more ridiculous and something I imagine Harry really didn't appreciate.
