I'm not saying he is a Columbo mate, I am simply saying he clearly has links, lately you get incredibly pissy with anyone who goes against your point of view. You don't rate him fair enough, I will listen to what he says, obviously with a pinch of salt as I do with any jorno.

Okay fine answer my question as to why if he has links he didn't break this news then?

Not even sure what incredibly pissy is meant to mean?

RM, Barca, Juve don't have the cash required and I cannot take Chelsea seriously as a destination so it's really only City and United that I can see have the cash and the will to spend.

However, surely both would be more interested in Mbappe and/or Haaland so I wonder if we may need to wait and see what happens with them first?
Haaland makes the most sense to city for me, they’ve won the league, league cup and possibly champions league and all without playing a proper striker the whole time, I’d think that haaland would be slightly cheaper than Kane and hes about 5 years younger.
City don’t need a ST to make them challengers because they win a hell of a lot anyway, Haaland could have 12/13 years at the top and Harry could have 5/6( anyone’s guess) and you don’t want to spend a package of £200m only to be looking again a few years later.

So why didn't he post the Kane news 2 days before Sky new then?

If his finger was really on the pulse you would have heard it from him seeing as he is a top ITK right?

He's not on the pulse with every bit on info out there but obviously the Kane story is big news and he is simply corroborating it. That is all.

If it wasn't true he would tweet that it's a load of nonsense. That is what he does.

I follow him on twitter and I've seen enough to make my own mind up, he is not a fraud in the slightest. He's a very connected journo.

Then it's your opinion. You are treating the above as fact.

Basically trying to belittle anyone else's point of view mate, but I feel you get that already.

Like any journalist he has links to some things more than others, mostly anything Spanish he is up on. I'm not saying what he posted is ground breaking, but for me its more evidence there is a lot to this. Your response was that I was suggesting he was "Columbo", I wasn't, I just personally think he is connected if you don't fair enough.

But surely that's like most things no? I think most of us on here are devastated about the thought of Kane leaving, but there is no point thinking its not a possibility considering all the media, which again has NEVER happened before with Kane even when he was scoring more.

This is where you have him wrong, he does what every typical news aggregator does and cover all their basis so that he protects himself from any backlash if it turns out to be incorrect.

Before he became known and wasn't in the spotlight he used to get a lot correct but seeing as he's built up his many followers based on his record they expect him to get everything right because they treat his word as gospel hence why now you see a lot of vague tweets that could mean anything like this one.

As I mentioned before if he was still as reliable as he was a few years ago he would have called this one before Sky, he didn't He is just reacting off the news that's out there mainly for his core of gullible followers who lap it up.

1 title with spurs would be a bigger achievment than 10 with oil city where he will be just another player.

Why? You are expecting him to break every single bit of football news going then? That is not entirely plausible or realistic.

?Strange...You may see it as belittling, I see it as disagreeing - you got 'incredibly pissy' with me in the Son thread the other day and I didn't start crying about it.

You said that people don't believe this story...I don't understand what that has anything to do with Romano. Whether the story is believable or not his take on this isn't anything ground breaking.

He used to do that a lot before he got famous, that's what he was known for - that's what got his his reputation and he never used to aggregate stories unlike now.

Anyone could have posted the same thing that he said on that Tweet after the fact, it's not as if anyone is learning anything new from it.

How am I crying about it? I simply said, I think Romero has connections an I will take on board what he says, with a pinch of salt of course. You then went on about me suggesting he was "Columbo" and saying people who listen to him are gullible, I never said he was golden, no journalist or ITK is.

My take on Romano (which I know you've all been waiting for), is that he absolutely is a goal hanger, but that he's also relatively well connected. He might not be ahead of the curve on every single thing, but I generally find him to be one of the more reliable Twitter journos.

1 - We all know Kane won't be just another player.
2 - He could win a bucket load of trophies at another club and even if they are 'easier' I don't think anyone's gonna really take that away from him or look at him or the trophies less, are they?

I think we can all agree that the sentiment and work to get us to the title would overall be a bigger achievement... but it's a lot less likely and he's literally tried that with us, for years. It's not worked. So now he's looking to plan B. I want him to stay big time but I don't begrudge him wanting to win things and thinking he'll be better placed to do it somewhere else.
