Sorry I might be letting my heart rule my head....but I didn't get from that interview Harry has definitely gone this season.

Levy I think can get one more season out of him minimum,if ...big If....he sorts out this mess immediately, gets in a coach that will excite us all, and Harry ofc....AND spend like he hasn't before and rebuild this shocking squad....not gradually...NOW...

Harry will imo stay.

I agree. But my only worry is that interview was last week, then we had SSN coming out on Monday saying they've been told he wants to leave. What if the chat with Levy and finding out who the manager is has already happened and he isn't happy about it hence the quotes on Monday?

We cant worry about it though, what will be will be. I'm more relaxed now though.

What absolutely fucking pricks SSN are.

They've leapt on Kane's interview with the whole I am going to have a chat with Levy, and basically twisted it into the story they have.

Watch the interview. It really reads worse than him actually saying it.
lol at the overreaction to that interview.
Slightly difficult listen but doesn’t sound like a man who’s mind is made up to go now/ isn’t open to an agreement (like one more year ). Maybe I’m being naive but I think if he buys in to whoever the new boss will be and whatever the plan is, he’ll give one last throw of the dice. Important to note that he seems to think he has a lot of career left in him too.

And someone still needs to pony up.

Do people still think this is the media ?
I mean, Sky reported it as if he’d have in a transfer request. By the looks of the video he’s not even spoken to the club about it yet, so they clearly jumped on those quotes and ran with something ten times worse than they actually were.

But good of you to mock people, nice to see you get so much pleasure from the notion of being right about our best player wanting to leave. Great fan you are (y)

He's massively putting pressure on Levy with that interview. Parts of it will be dissected and picked apart to be used this way and that. I'm a lot more relaxed after watching it. Reading it is different to watching him actually say the words.

Yeah I think it could be taken either way after watching it. I think he'll be willing to hear Levy out. I think he'll be professional if he stays. I also think if a legitimate bid comes in from City he will 100% push for it and I don't blame him at all.

Ball is in City's court to pay up now IMO.

He didn't say he wants to leave.

He danced around it. Sure it was a 'I'd still like to be friends' type vibe. But ultimately he said he's in no rush, he thinks he has alot of years left at the top level, and he wants to hear what Levy's plan is for the future. He wants to win things.

Levy hold's all the cards as Kane's biggest weakness is that he's a good boy who won't risk going on strike. Levy needs to do a proper job of convincing him, and actually achieving a quick turnaround next season. Fucking tough with the covid mess.

So true. Plus Levy knows Harry loves THFC. That is such a great way to manipulate him into staying.

Clearly wants to leave but says he sees himself having another 8/10 years in his career so he's not desperate for anything.

To me this all screams of a massive conversation with Levy where Levy will promise to show ambition etc this summer and if Kane still isn't happy next summer then he'll let him go as it'll be the last chance for us to get good money for him with two years on his contract.

Kane will then only be 28 and will probably be able to stay at another club for 6/7 years and win a bunch of trophies.

Lol what is levy gonna say? "Oh we gonna try to buy this and thay and hire this and that " just like what he promises every year? Im pretty sure he didnt say nahhh we gonna chill this year guys. Take it easy.

The key is that levy is all talk but never delivers.
If he wants to prove a point then he needs to do all these regardless of the convo with kane, so kane knows hes serious.

He needs to hire a top coach. Sign some top players. Only then those actions will have a small little tiny chance to convince him. Words? Get out of here. Even i had enough for levy's bs

IMHO Kane will only be allowed to leave this summer if Levy's valuation is met and even then it is only to City or abroad. I think City have shown in the past (Alexis Sanchez for example) they are willing to walk away. I doubt Levy get's his figure from City and he won't sell Kane to any other Prem club. If he is sold abroad there will be a clause relating to a sale back to the Prem (Tottenham first option / Tottenham cut of fee) in order to prevent Kane going abroad for a year and then returning to UTD etc.
As has been mentioned, levy holds a lot of the aces this summer, in a years time his hand is much weaker - Levy can call most of the shots on a transfer this summer which is why I am sure Kane will go.

Wonder when this interview took place. Was it the day Sky broke the news...? If so, Neville was their ‘source’. What’s the betting he was in Kane’s ear all day talking about the project at Utd.

The interview definitely reads worse online than it does when you actually watch it, but it’s very clear Kane is closer to leaving now than at any other time.

To me it sounded very much he was open to anything. Be it staying, going, giving it a year. But he’s definitely putting some pressure on.
To me it sounded like he's ready to leave - 'I've been at this for club 16 years of my life, so I'd hope we can have a good honest conversation', sounds more like I've given this club 16 years of my life, so I hope the Chairman can see it's time for me to move on as we haven't or likely won't progress to win things anytime soon was how I interpreted that. It's all conjecture at this moment, but I think in all honesty it points to him wanting to leave - whether that actually transpires to him getting a move is not in his hands though.

We all know that’s not going to happen, if Daniel refuses to sell it could affect his playing performance as we saw yesterday.

The said it came from his agent and even quoted the company, normally by now the agent and or the club would have denied it.

So it's pretty obvious that he wants to leave, whether he gets to leave or has a change of heart is another matter altogether.

The article I read said it was filmed last week.

Clearly wants to leave, hopefully he gets his wish for his own sake, but knowing Levy he is going to make it very difficult …

Of course he does. He signed a 6 year contract though. It’s definitely within Levy’s rights to ask him to give us another year, and I think he will.
