I didn't say they are. It's just annoying seeing people bleat about what they would do differently if they were running the club (as manager or owner), yet they would make the exact same mistakes. One minute it's "back the manager", then it's "we shouldn't have signed (insert player manager coveted". You're doing the exact same thing suggesting it's "the same people making the decisions" when it clearly isn't.

As a note, clubs are clearly influenced by supporter opinion - that's been the topic of the last few months.

The players, like Kane, will echo these sentiments - it doesn't mean that they are right, though. I'd be asking Harry to point out who, in the team, should be replaced. If he doesn't point out players who he's likely to be mates with, like Winks/Dier/Dele, then he needs to be realistic.

Chelsea went from mid-table under Lampard to top-four under Tuchel with the same set of players - I don't think that a "rebuild" is needed if you get in a new coach/manager whose style suits the core of what we already have, and who isn't bothered about getting rid of the buddy club in the same way Poch did when he started.

Who knows if Kane is even the one putting pressure on the English core to be playing?
So you don't think Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Sanchez, Doherty to name a few need replacing.

I do wonder how Kane really feels this week? Is he thinking I’ve played this wrong and been manipulated by Sky and the media or is this playing out how he wanted.

Would imagine he's probably not too displeased with how's its turned out. The more of a media fuss there is the more likely he gets a move and even if he doesn't the worst case is that it maybe puts the pressure on Levy to invest. Fans still largely love him and are directing all the blame at Levy so aside from the timing I doubt he's too surprised at how it's being reported.

Who is busting down our door to buy all these players on the wages they are on and at the price Levy will set? Like it or not, selling at a loss is asking for trouble in business (especially in the current climate) and is something that Levy simply won't do. People here bitch and moan to just get xxx "out of my club", even at a huge loss, and then bitch and moan that Levy won't "just pay up the extra £10m" to bring player y in.

I think if we want to shift Dele we should be able to. Also one of Dier or Sanchez. I'd say Dier is more likely seeing as Sanchez cost us £40m odd so we won't be accepting any £15m bids.

I can't see anyone paying £30m+ and £80k a week for Winks. I can't see anyone paying £30 for Doherty on this season's form. Also bear in mind the players all have contracts. They have to want to go to the club that wants to buy.

Remembering through all these manufactured leaks...JJ said it's been the same target from day one.

Stay positive my friends.

Ryan Mason : "Yeah I'd love to play with KdB as well! Ask any player in the world if they would like to play with KdB and they will say yes."

Whatever you may think about his selections or tactics, you can't deny he's handled the media really well considering the shitstorm he walked into.

His inexperience has shown in his selections and substitutions, but I think he’ll make a good coach one day.

There is big chance not one of them will be in our strongest team next season, they will be replaced or they are good enough to be second choice.

May well be one of Levy’s first questions when they next meet. I know it would be one of mine. I suspect by making Levy the bad guy and saving face with the fans will be his main tactics for coming out of this looking good in many peoples eyes.

The bed wetting in here over the press coverage pathetic. Don't see such indignation when it's player X linked with us. The Kane speculation is a huge story so journalists will be writing about it.

of course its a big story, of course it will get coverage, that’s not the problem.

the problem is the accuracy - the headline is completely and utterly not what was said.

At the moment, yes. But all the top clubs have had shit phases. Remember we were in the CL final just two years ago. Villa, Everton and Leeds weren’t even in the Europa League. We are a big club despite our current travails.
We are not a big club. There is a reason why everyone laughed at our inclusion in the ESL.

If he didn’t want this to happen he wouldn’t of done the interview, he’s not fussed about all this

Still don't think he's gonna leave this summer. In recent years there are so many players at clubs who have been linked to endless moves that never materialise as the deals are just too hard to do or the offers just aren't big enough.

- Pogba has spent about 3 years trying to get out of United and said far worse to the press yet is back in the fold and playing well.
- The whole Messi debacle last summer.
- Neymar and Mbappe constantly linked to the Spanish clubs.
- Zaha has handed in a transfer request and desperately tried to escape palace for about 3 years.

Not saying Kane won't leave at some point, but a lot of people I speak to seem to think it's a given that he's gone this summer. This would be an incredibly complicated, expensive deal that Daniel Levy, one of the stingiest negotiators in world football, will not want to do. If it does happen it take for ever and be very much on our terms.

Unless City stump up £150-200 million with very generous add-ons then it simply won't happen, and I just can't see that happening this summer.

The point was made that we don't need a rebuild and that we just need a new manager. Whether we are able to sell those players or not is another question all together, but that doesn't mean we don't need a rebuild.

Absolutely crazy how massive papers like the Telegraph can fully just post something that objectively wasn't said and everyone will buy into the narrative. Happens in all walks of life but christ football punditry is just the worst.

I mean it's click bait and you've just shared it thus baiting more clicks :p

As much as I think it won't happen, I'd love to see Levy and Spurs turn everything on its head and invest heavily in the team over the summer, with Kane staying for another Season at least.. I'm sick listening to those wankers on SkySports.

In fairness, Winks is likely the first Kane would point the finger at, the two don’t get along.

People need to learn to read an think for themselves rather than just swallow what the media say.
