This squad is absolutely done. A big name manager with this squad is just a sticking plaster, and it'll be twice as bad in a year's time.

The other option is a new project, and H simply isn't going to hang around another 5 years for that one to fail as well.

I just hope that with things being as bad as they are that at least people are more willing to leave so we can properly rebuild.

If Levy sells, things might actually turn violent like at united. Levy is stuck between a rock and a hard place and it’s all of his own making. Do something to help the team progress for once in his godforsaken tenure or he’a pretty much completely through at this club and the toxicity will absolutely seep all the way through the club. He should just get the fuck out of the club. Sell the fucking club enic you fucking no good twats.

Nah, there's still people whining about it, Neville and timing and such.

I see what you mean. The interview was clearly part of Kane’s exit strategy, so I can see why people were annoyed with the timing and the context of it. I don’t have a particularly strong view of it. He did what he thought he needed to do to get the move, and it will probably work for him.

I said it previously but Kane probably toned down the interview for the sake of the fans. I always felt what he said in public would be different to what he said to Levy.

Timing is shit, don't care what anyone says. He knows how media works. He wanted the public to know he wanted out and got his wish. Don't get me wrong Levy deserves the blame for H wanting out but Kane deserves some flack for the way he has done things.

It all comes down to the players we buy imo. If we go for established stars like Grealish and Skriniar it will appease the fans. If we waste the money on players like Chadli and Chiriches again then there will be a huge backlash.

Exactly why we need a DOF to come in now.
JJ on Twitter said hitchen is very good at his job when left to do so, says the owners are helping him with their constraints.
In that case whoever comes in will still have a struggle on their hands

I think if JJ believes today is Kanes last game then he must also believe someone will pay the transfer fee.
Or that someone has come up with players in exchange that would be of interest to us as part of an overall package. Given the economic climate, that must be a possibility. It may be fanciful, but an offer that included Laporte, Ake and Jesus from City would address some issues in the squad

As always, it needs to be judged on how we finish the summer with replacements, they need to absolutely nail the recruitment and only investing the Kane money won't be enough. That money needs to be used to find 3 players to replace his input AND THEN you invest to fix the rest of the team.

JJ also says in that tweet, that he ‘personally thinks’.
That’s not ITK, not every word JJ breathes is a stone cold fact.
He’s a fan too and has opinions, it was definitely his opinion.
Let’s not turn on Harry just yet hey!!

Would be gutting to see Kane leave this summer but the bottom line is we need a massive rebuild and selling him is the only way I can see it happening in one or two transfer windows like we need. My only issue would be with how we spend the money because if we don’t spend it wisely, and I don’t have much faith that we will, we are in big trouble for a long period of time

Id love the rest of the squad to take this personally, to feel like people act like Kane is bigger than the rest of the squad behind. For this to light a fire under them and want to prove the world wrong and make them a stronger unit to show they won't need Kane.

Sadly I think if they had the personalities for that then we wouldn't have this situation.

Your talking about the same squad that doesn't show up in finals....

Your barking up the wrong tree mate.

This squad needs binning.... Asap.

I really can't think of more than 1 or 2 that would vaguely upset me if they were moved on, out of a squad of 24 that shows you where we're at and what a mess we're in.

I don't think it's even that. Most of it is England Euro 2020 build up imo. He says "I never said I'd stay at spurs forever, I never said I'd leave," pretty much unprompted. I think it's more Sky bookmaking tbh.

Having said that, in the 3 weeks or however long since that interview was made, things have become clearer for us and the current state. I would not at all be surprised if he was in the middle of arranging it all.
