Fuck it. As much as it will pain me to see Kane leave, in some ways it will be a relief to start next season with a fresh young team and new manager, without the constant media speculation around Kane’s future. I just hope we appoint the right manager and make smart signings to get us progressing again...
Unfortunately he will be leaving a shitfest behind who we cannot sell because nobody else wants them and are on too much money. I cannot watch anymore Spurs this season and probably next year either. Totally fallen out of love with Spurs which I cannot see changing until Enic and Levy are gone. I will probably buy my season ticket and sell each match day ticket back to the club until they are gone. Bring on the revolution.

The most worrying part of JJ's comments is the line about ambition....obviously we don't have any.....Selling a generational talent is his prime years to another PL team is indefensible....Well done Enic / Levy...

This. The board and levy have totally failed. We have/had a genuine star who warned years ago that we have to push on. Well played ENIC

is jesus that unrealistic? he'll know that his bit-part role will only get smaller with a new striker arriving and i don't think he's quite done enough to warrant attention from many clubs bigger than us.

He is probably one we could get, but is he worth the wage and money it would take off the fee.

Was more a general point about people making creative deals, we should just get the money. If the new manager wants to bring in Jesus for example we can go for him but should be the new man's choice.

My favourite player ever. Utterly gutted.

And if it's United then I think I'm going to really struggle to care about football for a long while.

I know this will seem knee jerk but ever since the CL final my love for this club has dwindled massively. The ESL, Jose bollocks and now Kane leaving is making it even worse.

If we sell to Utd I will have to seriously consider if its even worth it anymore.

After the arsehole of the season we've had, I don't think I'm emotionally equipped to deal with things going sour with Kane or him going to United. I can come to terms with City but not United.

I agree. My hope is that you can play under Pep or Ole. Not a hard choice

Club is worth a hell of a lot more if it’s winning, consistently qualifying for CL, has the best player in the league etc. I think this is simply incompetence from the board.
There is no guarantee for those things, we did spend lots of money just to finish 8th. A decade ago or so all we needed was a proper CF just to get Saha and Nelsen, club never takes extra risk.

People saying stuff like this do realise these players would actually have to want to join us don't they?
Yes & if they won't it will be £160m. Kane has gone public to try to get a move for a price the buying club are willing to pay. We need to be firm on the price we want & which players we'd accept to reduce the fee

I hope I'm wrong, but with a young family, being settled in London, I think it might be Chelsea. Everyone keeps going on about them needing a top striker. They would certainly be challenging City for the title.

Going to City, yes, guaranteed trophies, also a good move for him. United, well, if he goes there, I just give up.
