Fucking state of this thread and the meltdown in here.
Let’s at least wait for concrete news before we hang the guy.
He’s an absolute legend and we’re lucky to have him.

I'm not happy with how he's handled the exit, but it is absolutely unforgivable that we've allowed this to happen, if he does indeed go. He won't even leave with a Carabao Cup to his name, even something small we can look back on and cherish. Very, very difficult to swallow.

Surely hes part of that though? He played in a fair amount of finals. Its not like he didn't get the chance of winning silverware at the club.

Would be interesting to see how many people think he will get a move or if Levy will cock block his move

I really hope he stays.

It's been an absolute honour to watch him come through the youth team and first team: from an ungainly and goofy kid to an underrated by so many striker on his journey to being world class and then, finally, to becoming a guy whose passing and finishing is second to none and makes the game look so easy.

He's become a hell of a player and it's a lot of his own hard work that's made it happen, along with support from many people at Tottenham.

It's a shame some of our signings haven't been as effective as the initial excitement around them signing. C'est la vie. Other teams don't deserve Harry.

I really bloody hope he stays.

Yes, to an extent, but of all the people to blame for us not winning a trophy in the past few years - players, coaches and owner - I'd say he's pretty low down the list. His goals helped us get to semi-finals, finals and challenge for titles to begin with.

Personal opinion he said

In fairness to JJ, he is the closest we have to the club his personal opinion is worth more than all of us combined.

He would not put it out for no reason, he is well aware how many people disect everything he says. From what he has said I personally believe there is a number agreed and its just a case of that being met. Kane obviously seems confident it will.

If he stays its because nobody had met the figure, not because Kane wants to be here.

Let’s just wait and see shall we. I’m disappointed at the way he’s gone about this, sure. But he’s still been a great player for us.

People need to hold on to their butts, as this will be going on for a good few months yet.

With all the different snippets of circumstantial evidence that Kane is leaving I get the feeling that similarly to when Bale left, this has been on the cards for a while.

Kane came through the ashes the last time our house burnt down and him leaving now as we're preparing a new rebuild is a fitting ending, an unfortuante one though. I will never say that any player "deserves" to win trophies - it's not a basic human right. But Harry Kane and the Spurs team of 15/16 and onwards were good enough to win trophies and it's a shame they never did.

If he truly wants out then I see no point in holding him back. I don't believe that Kane would ever actively not do his upmost for Spurs but I do believe he might not be motivated for another "project". And to be fair we're in for one major clear out and restart regardless if Kane goes or stay.

Still a lot of people burying their head in the sand. I completely get why - I don't want to believe Kane is most likely leaving either ?

Between Harry's brother in law posting the other day and now his wife with that on Instagram, it's so badly handled on his part.

If he is leaving.

I really hope it doesn’t drag on for months as we need to add replacements and get them jelled into the team as quick as possible.

Kane will either give us the gift of staying with us this summer or give us the gift of the funds to rebuild the first team. Genuinely think both are equally likely as it stands, regardless of what is clearly a concerted effort from him to engineer the move. Ultimately, his fate is not in his own hands.

It's way too late to say "I hope he stays". He's gone and probably even knows where to.
All I hope for is he comes out and explains that his reason for doing so is to pump money into the much needed transfer kitty to fund the desperately needed long term overhaul.
My biggest disappointment would be for him to slink off and thus have to watch the embarrassment of Spurs fans booing him at the Lane.
