City give us the money (£160 million) ASAP. I just want him gone as soon as possible now. Time to move on. He clearly has and is not worth having him around with a new management team and players coming in.

Reading the last few pages is horrific reading.
We all knew how Kane would need to push through a move. That doesn’t mean he loves the club any less.
This club have failed him. Failed to back managers and sign players to match his clear world class talent.

Once again as predicted. Once Kane goes it’ll be ‘Well done Levy on getting a good deal for a wantaway player’

seriously the only problem at our club is The owners. Not the player who lives and breathes this club

the player who has given so much. He is truly one of our own regardless of how this pans out.

we failed him.

Fuck that mate. Fair enough he wants out, but surely he realises his monetary worth. If City don't want to pay it, why the fuck should we bend over for him. That's not something "one of our own" would do. Club over player. Always.

yet history tells us that never happens.

we all know how this ends up might drag on a bit but ultimately if the player wants to move they will

Modric didn’t get his move to Chelsea. He knuckled down for a year and actually got a move to a decent club ;)

Not sure why this is getting so many shit ratings. You’ve got to ask yourself, what is Daniel Levy’s perfect scenario? And the answer is cashing out on a player at the height of his powers. With this comes a fan backlash. So to soften the blow, let the player take the hit. The ‘gentleman’s agreement’ was the perfect opportunity to do this. Multi-million pound contract with one of the most ruthless negotiators in the industry and you make a rookie error of not getting it all officially in writing? It’s almost like you gave your brother the gig instead of someone with experience. The Kane Brothers fucked up and Levy will now reap the benefits. That’s why he’s rich for signing deals, it’s his talent, his golden boot. Had Levy sold Kane without Kane particularly wanting the move, it’s clearly a cash grab. But now there are fans screaming ‘get him out’. Kane is screaming ‘get me out’. And Levy is laughing all the way to the bank again. It’s knocking down the Lane all over again. We wouldn’t let him do that to our sacred home. Until he played the Stratford card. Then we begged him to tear it down. We’re being played. Again. And it won’t be the last time.

If he loves the club the same as he always has done he should respect the fact that we want and need to maximise the money we make on the sale. But so far it's been everything except that.

Fans have defended the guy for the best part of 8 years v opposition fans and he's now basically shitting on all of us.

Have to agree, I’m just glad he was never our proper full time captain — would’ve damaged the atmosphere a whole lot more otherwise. Still, it’s never a good thing when your star player is pulling all the dirty tricks he can to fuck over his “boyhood” club and their supporters.

The problem with us "just taking the money now" is that as soon as it's public the current irons in the fire suddenly get another £5m-£10m whacked on top of whatever we were negotiating before. It's a very fine balancing act and us lot bitching about what's going on is the very bottom of priorities for all concerned.

Good point and quite possibly right, which is why I wrote "was an agreed condition of Fabio's appointment" referring to all transfers. If he and Levy have pre-agreed Harry Kane is a 'special case' because of Daniel's previous dealings in the matter then that's fair enough (y)
Even if Levy isn’t directly involved in the negotiations, he will be setting the conditions that Fabio has to work to such as the fee that the club feel is acceptable etc.. But as Fabio is the DoF he needs to manage the negotiations

Given his lack of celebrations this year when he scored, appears he’s been wanting out for quite some time. Can’t be bothered seeing him sulk on the pitch for another year. Sell him to the Middle East.

I know this is what he wants but when does him being part of the squad become untenable?

How can he come into the squad now? Surely both Nuno and the Squad are feeling so let down by him. If he doesn't get his move, how do we integrate him into the team?

I honestly think at this point we have to sell him, but for our price.

Right now his position is completely untenable. Given what we’ve heard about Nuno being a bit of a stickler for discipline etc it would really undermine the work their doing to integrate Kane. Things can change though, I doubt Kane will want to spend a season not training and playing, so unless City stump up the cash he’s going to have to make a grovelling apology at some point.

Kane has made the ultimate gamble here, if City don’t firm up an offer we find acceptable then he’s really fucked himself. Could be he’s had assurances from City that they will do what it takes, could just be that him and his brother are imbeciles.

I think the fact that he was lauded, and rightly so, for toppling the old guard of Adebayor/Kaboul etc while coming through our youth system and appearing very much so as Mr Tottenham, makes this lack of respect even harder. He positioned himself as the ring leader in all that, he wanted to be the main man, and maybe Mr Levy has bent over a little too far to accommodate that? Having a say in team selection, managers etc is too much power for any player imho. For him now to start acting in this way, I think, just shows the exact type of character that he wanted to topple out of the club at the start.

We need to be firm with any bid from City, need to take them to the cleaners, cos selling to a rival will only come back to haunt us. £160m WITH a player that we want in exchange is a minimum for me.

I’d be on the phone to Madrid (they are skint but could stagger payments) or PSG and asking them if they’d be interested. Although, by the sounds of it, Poch may not want him.

Sorry but have the club or player made any comment yet or have just kept quiet? I really haven’t seen anything. It is redeemable and a PR ready excuse could be thrown out there. There is no way the club will have not been in contact with them yesterday and explained the mess they are making of it. If he turns up for training today and an excuse is thrown out then there will only be doubts. If he doesn’t today and there’s no comment then a different story. Also when is Nuno’s next conference - about the Mind game?

The thing about going to Abu Dhabi FC as it offers an opportunity of winning things.... that doesn’t wash. He had the opportunity to win things here, more opportunities than Bale, Modric and Berbatov (fair enough Berbatov did win something with us).

What Abu Dhabi FC offers obviously is the ‘guarantee’ of winning things, the guarantee! Think about that right there guarantee of winning things, how on earth is that a sport., it is against the very principle of sport. They throw billions at it, not one person unless you are an utterly delusional Abu Dhabi FC fan thinks it’s any other way.

Players looking back at there careers and some will be looking at medals that have been purchased by a club, with owners who are morally bankrupt. Look at the fans of that club on forums, so f****** delusional, they were doing shit till the human rights abusers came in and pumped money into them, rigged ffp with rigged sponsorship deals.

The way a lot of the media crawl up the crack of Abu Dhabi FC is f****** disgusting and a disgrace.

I completely disagree with your analogy as WHL needed upgrading and the old ground was pretty much maxed out and couldn't be expanded. We needed a bigger and better stadium and what we've got will prove to be the best outcome we could have hoped for. It probably already would've been had we not had it empty for a whole year.
