It's the "blown out of proportion" bit i'm most interested in hearing from Harold

He probably means "I didn't realise it would go down so badly".

He'll be well aware of the media and social media backlash. It is only to do with that, I cant imagine we would have softened our position.

Yes, I agree, they're both acting like pricks but Kane's getting all the shit. Levy needs to fuck off out of the Club as well.
Fuck me yeah Kane's getting all the shit and Levy has got none. Fucking laughable mate considering the shit Levy has deservedly got over the last 6 months. The fact is Kane is getting the stick right now because Kane is the one in the wrong. Whatever has happened in the past is irrelevant to the disrespect Kane is showing the club and the fans. There's a right way to do things and a wrong way, and its simple as that.

And Levy appears to have helped us lose everything else but that's just fine.
Your stance on this debacle is phenomenal. Many of us are #levyout after the managerial saga and definitely you can find many agreements there in Levy's thread. But really, there are no others to blame for Kane's unprofessionalism here other he himself, and maybe perhaps his brother.

I am truly gobsmacked at the hate being slung in Harry's direction. Everything he's ever done for the Club forgotten in a moment because of bollocks thrown about in the media that's probably grossly inaccurate. Everything is landing on Harry's head for the last few years of Levy's mismanagement and Levy walks away without a smear. That's just fucking wrong.

You are Harry Hotspur, and I claim my five pounds.

Sky Sports obviously have a direct line into Charlie Kane. They just said he is making a temporary protest. The back tracking has begun, trying to spin it.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. They seem adament that we agreed to sell him for some sort of specific number. City have only bid 100 million, there is no way Levy would have agreed to sell Kane for that.

I really don't know if Kane will stay at Spurs now, I would imagine if City come up with the money he will be gone, but it seems they have no intention to. If they did, why haven't they made a bid already?
Do the Kane brothers not realise who Daniel Levy is? You'd think after this long at the club and witnessing Eriksen go through the exact same process, that Kane would realise any 'gentleman's agreement' Levy makes is meaningless. So very naïve to believe it - if Levy even did agree a specific fee which I highly doubt.

Not the most ethical move from Levy mind, but what was Kane expecting? For Levy to accept the first bid, pat him on the back and wish him well? He's one of the hottest properties in world football and Daniel Levy is Daniel Levy - you don't get out easy.

Okay, I don't want to be a troll so I'm going to shut the fuck up now, but I'm deeply ashamed of Spurs and what it's become. There's nothing left of it. It's all moneyball. Good luck with your Club.

Are you angry at money in the game or Levy not putting money in?

Thing is with all the media and ITK we think we know what's going on but ultimately we don't have a clue really. Although it can be viewed as having your head in the sand I think we need to see all the facts before we completely write the guy off.

That's not an unreasonable opinion, but much of this shit could so easily have been avoided if someone, either from inside the club or from Kane's side had had the curtesy of letting the millions of Spurs fans around the world know exactly WTF is going on in the first place.

Our outrage is fully understandable to me, especially when you consider all the love, the pride and respect we've all shown for Kane down the years, not to mention all the hard earned money people have shelled out to see him play and buy the shirt with his name on the back, and all the kids who've idolised and hero worshipped him.

Of course we're angry. I for one never imagined he'd ever behave like this and I'm shocked and deeply hurt like we all are.

Agreed, he is a bit of a dick personally but as a player for his club, hard not to respect that.
“Personally” - interested to learn how long you’ve known him.

Can’t stand the lazy narrative of a person being a “dick” because they wear a certain type of clothes or have a certain type of hair cut.

I’d hazard a guess, that you don’t know him at all and in actual fact the narrative you’re pushing fits your perception.

Nobody’s perfect, but that doesn’t make someone a “dick”.

Not someone who’s “woke”, just calling it how I read it.
