Yeah letting a £100m+ asset rot and devalue rather than cashing in and reinvesting in the squad would be a brilliant move wouldn’t it.

Because saying “I told you so” to a player who no longer wants to be here is so much more than the club’s ongoing and future success.

Idiotic and childish thing to say.

not childish it’s a man who’s made it showing the kids how life is

we've seen this movie before, with Bale and Berbatov. they both refused to train and are now both Spurs legends.
To be honest I wasn't actually happy that Berbatov came back for the Finale at The Lane. Didn't think he was particularly deserving of it, his and Fergies tactics forced our hand which screwed us over and it was still fresh in the memory.

At least Bale seemed to be done in a controlled way that wasn't in the public eye and wasn't in cahoots with a rival PL coach. We also got Eriksen and Lamela put of it.

But neither proclaimed to be Spurs through and through either.

Kane has been badly advised imo which is a shame - contracts really only mean the club can guarantee a decent price for the player and thats how its been for ages

but its all been a little bit inevitable really best to get it done as soon as possible and move on - can't really see any City players coming our way so we have to rely on Pat to do some shrewd business up front and in midfield the name we are being associated with are decent just going to be hard

Bale maybe, because of the good times he gave us and the fact he was young and spectacular.
Berbs has never been a legend, at least not to proper fans

its a business unfortunately - players don't support clubs like you or me there will be a bit of posturing and Kane will move on sadly he will leave a gaping hole but if you spend the money wisely then it might not be the worst deal we have ever made

the days of clubs putting a huge asset in the stiffs has long gone unfortunately the players have the power and not the clubs

Does anyone else get the feeling that City don’t actually want him as much as he thinks they do?
They obviously want him and he would be a great addition, but I've never believed that they were gonna go completely crazy this summer and spend £150m (or even more) on him. For £100m-110m? Absolutely.

Even Charlie Kane's story to the sun (leaked at his own fucking wedding no less, the scumbag) stated that Levy had agreed to sell at 160M. Maybe that story is bullshit or not, but if City are now only prepared to bid a max 100M then WTF does Kane expect Spurs to do, just say yes to a value 60M cheaper than the arbitrary value they had put out a few days before? They're even stupider than we thought.

Levy must love the situation with CK. it’s a bit like playing chess with your 3 year old son ??

Sad that it's come to this but after a short while of seriously considering him leaving, I think I just want him sold to be honest.

Not at a low fee or for players, I hope we rinse City. Only a few weeks ago, I was hoping that Nuno or Paratici could twist his arm.

The interview on its own, whilst ill-judged and ill-timed, didn't really turn me against him in anyway as I felt he was partly doing it to shake Levy, plus we were all furious with Levy anyway. But the interview together with his behaviour over the last few days, plus the petty Instagram posts - I'll explain why shortly - have all added to a feeling of numbness towards him.

Instagram posts - I've always felt that football club's social media is not just a representation of the club but the fans as they share the joy of news or such, for Kane to ignore the club's Happy birthday message is a way of him shunning the fans IMO. The message isn't coming from Levy, who let's face it is who Kane has a gripe with, it's a representation from the staff, players and fans - the family, so to speak. For him to ignore that is appalling. even if someone else is in control of his social media, although that's unlikely considering the pettiness behind it.

Just say 'thank you', at least we know you are still Spurs even if you want to leave. I'm stunned by his behaviour in this. You think you know someone (obviously I don't, but you get my drift).

love your posts. would rather hold out for a few days to see if there is any chance for the return of the prodigal son. unlikely yes. a better outcome if motivated yes. levy needs to negotiate with that in mind if he think it is possible.

Him totally ignoring that happy bday message by the Tottenham social media sites is a real slap in the face to the fans and club to be honest and is actually one of the things that winds me up the most about his pettiness right now.
